Life never is neat and simple. But one does wonder what someone is chasing when they have all that is the prize in life; a family. Referring to, of course: abuse, neglect and betrayal (which this one is about). Other just don't work out for many other reasons. Thanks very much for your review and compliments! :-)) Sue

Sue - That stings but so true at times. Some parents should never be allowed to have children. Nice story in twelve words. I enjoyed it. Charlie

This is a great contest for this fabulous contest. It tells the sad story of many families, from two points of view. Good luck in the contest.

wow, your two statements sure connect in a profound and meaningful way - I love the use of the question, for who can possibly understand this as often as it happens? Perfect illustration, too.

Oh, this is excellent. You've done a beautiful job of juxtaposing the elements, of good and bad and illustrated it perfectly. Good luck.

What powerful twelve words. You captured it all. The stark differences and yet some how related makes this a scary world.

A powerful pair of six-worders here, a sad statement on how things too often are. Meets the contest requirements, good luck in the voting booth! Karen

Wow, you did an excellent job with this. Two separate stories and yet, they can run parallel with each other. I found no errors. Good luck. I think you've got a winner here.

Great entry for this contest. Both sentences have powerful meanings. I like the way you made them with such different emotions, each one strong. Nice work.
