I love the way you start each stanza with the same line. Keeping the reader focused on it. "Glorious taste ... sipped" is an excellent line, so descriptive. Overall a very good read. Thank you!

Very nice job. It reads very smoothly, the descriptions are clear as it celebrates what the Bible calls the peace that passes understanding. Good work.

I love this picture you choose to have with your poem. It reminds me of growing up on a farm with lots of fields around. It is beautiful. This was an enjoyable poem to read.

"The nectar so longed for"
"Glorious taste waiting to be sipped"
"Rest in the arms of a breeze"
Each of these lines presents such a beautiful metaphor of peace. Your whole poem sings of this metaphor.
Excellent job,
Lois

Ah, how can something so simple be so elusive?
Excellent writing that made me reflect on the calm.
I guess, in the end it is just a choice. We choose it.
Love these lines:
"Glorious taste waiting to be sipped
To give the heart song "

Hi 6teezkid
Stunning presentation ... your words actually makes one feel 'peace, sweat peace' I liked the repeat of these same words on the first line of each stanza and the poem certainly gives you the feeling of getting away from the hectic pace of life. Well done. I enjoyed. Marion.

Marion, so glad you commented on the repetitive line. The consensus out there is 50/50; some like it a lot and some done care for it. All a matter of taste, yes. I'm still on the fence! Ha!! I want to thank you for reading my poem. And I want to thank you for your generous review and beautiful comments. Much appreciated. Kindest regards, Sue

I liked your poem that brought the message of peace through mother nature. We all need time our from today's hectic pace, what better way than to commune with nature. Well done.

Lovely poem that is well written and was very easy to read and enjoy. It is hard to find peace in this day and age and this poem has a wonderful vision of it. Thanks, Jeanette

I really liked this poem. I suppose raising six kids, the only sort of peace you can find will be within your writing :) Good job!

Shenelle, yes! Raising my children was hectic, but **sigh**, I do miss them very much also, as they are all grown up. But it is my time now and I am very happy to learn to write poetry. I love this site because there is such wonderful constructive criticism and great input. I want to thank you for reading my poem and for giving me a very generous review. I also appreciate your comments. Kindest regards, Sue

short break from hectic is a good thing; well written; no corrections; this is the truth:
"Peace, sweet peace
Don't wrest me away
From your fleeting presence"
