This is an adorable idea - I like seeing farm life through the eyes of a young girl and two of her goats. I also like the fact that this lighthearted story helps you convey a message without your hitting people over the head with a lecture.

Great story. Excellent comparison of you and the goats to humans and God. It was so appropriate. The goats stories were funny and cute if only the human rejection of God could be just as cute.

Hi Janilou :)
Nice little parable. God does provide more to the contented.
This apparently applies to goats as well as people.
I always suspected that but now I have it from the goats tiny hooves via their computers (or your perhaps strange dreams.)

It reminds me of a book call The Diary of Pets. It has a year's worth of enteries of a cat and a dog living in the same house. It really is funny for example
Dog: Its been a great day. We went for a long walk then came home and got a really good can of food.
Cat: Day 104 of captivity....
Sorry to go off subject, but your story brought the book to mind. I thought it witty and clever. Good post.

Michelle, you just officially made my night. Not only six stars but those hilarious lines from dog and cat. I'll be chuckling all night just thinking about them! :-) Thank you so much for both.
Hugs,

I like 'Glimpses' and the way you developed the story or a three hundred herd (flock?) of milking goats bringing everything together in a spiritual setting. Good job.

Having grown up around farms and farm animals I could just picture the scene in that milking shed. Animals are as individual as humans and sometimes just as cantankerous. As for the Billies.... well they have their role to perform and nature handed them a backhander on the musk. You probably don't want to be downwind!

Thank you so much for the terrific review! :-) Yes, they do have a very important role. We'd be lost without them!
Anywhere BUT downwind! LOL

Ha-ha, great writing. I love goats. Had a pet goat as a kid. In regards to the ending. My pastor and I have coffee almost every morning. Yesterday he admitted that what concerns him most of his congregation is that the first person to be counseled is always a person whose answer had been given in the sermon on the day before..."Do they ever listen," he asked.

I love the way you tackle these stories from the animals viewpoint.
As you suggest, they are the same as humans in reality. Everyone(animal) sees situations differently.
A wonderful tale which had me chuckling as I sipped at my nightcap.
Best wishes
