A lovely story told here. I was blown away by the ending and think it was a great end to a really well developed story. Look forward to reading more soon.

What a marvelous idea, Jan. This is just beautiful and it fills my heart with hope that if I don't find my grandson (Andrew) while in this realm, I will see him in heaven. Thank you for this great idea. It makes sense to me.

What a beautiful story. I really enjoyed this and didn't suspect your twist until near the end. It's the kind of reunion every woman who has ever surrendered a child must dream of. I really enjoyed this one.
No nits.

Your story has a tinge of sadness and happiness about it. It's sad Anna had to give her child up for adoption but happy because he found a good family. I know the trend is for single mothers to keep their children but it's saner to give up the child if they can't handle raising a child. But I agree giving up a child is painful.

Thank you so much! :-) I do appreciate your comments. Anna's child actually died at birth.

I had a feeling about the ending, and thought you wrote this beautifully. Having lost children and felt the ache I like the way you painted this reunion. I hope it is how it actually happens. Well done.

Janilou,
So this is paradise. I think that the greatest heartbreak would be for a baby to die. If it were adopted out right after birth, the mother could hope that the child would have a good life. But death is sort of final, at least for us on Earth.
I couldn't find any spag or other problems.

This is sweet, but... the dialogue is a bit stuffy. I don't believe their reuinion, or the deep emotions. This needs more description of the characters and the dialogue needs something to make it more believable.
I like where you're headed with this, it has the potential to be really good. :-)

Wow! I was beginning to figure this ending was going to be a surprise when she heard the music in the shell. Fantastic story. Very well written, smooth flow, no spag or changes to recommend. It definitely tugged at the heartstrings with sadness and joy. Excellent job. You made it all so believable.

Hi Jan:
Lovely story. Heartfelt, tender and warm. You're very good at writing things like this that almost bring on tears for me.
I hadn't figured out that they were in heaven. So that came as a surprise for me.
Nice clean write I'm pleased to report. Thanks for sharing.
