There is a lovely flow to your poem and the rhyming is pleasant. Reading about fall and winter already gives me pause lol. I can't believe how fast summer has disappeared. but i do look forward to spring and the beautiful robins as you described so well. thanks for sharing.

Hi Pam,
This poem leaves strong image of all seasons but mostly Winter and Spring. The robin is a good omen of Spring. Though here in unseasonably warm Winters we see robins all year round.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Have wonderful rest of the week.
Joan

Your poem beautifully captures the transition between autumn and winter, and then from winter to spring, using vivid imagery and a rhythmic structure. The imagery of leaves floating, the stark contrast of winter's arrival, and the eventual rebirth of spring are well depicted.

What a beautiful poem about the transitioning of seasons! In Ireland we are transitioning from summer to autumn.

It's funny I hate to see summer go as I do love autumn too. Just like how I love to see the first signs of spring which you've captured wonderfully, as winter just goes on too long!
Some beautiful scenes captured throughout, very well writtenwith lovely rhyme, well done.

You are made to write or compose these types of poetry. You draw the reader into each season and make us experience it and then gently move to the next until the Robins have returned. Wonderful!

You have covered the splendor of the seasons from late Autumn to Winter, to the emergence of Spring's beauty, with the return of birds, blossoms, and fruit. Your well-chosen words provide vivid and satisfying imagery as you welcome in a new season of Robins.

This was a very well written transitional poem. I liked how you used the birds to transition the seasons. The artwork was nice. It was kind of you to make the font bold for those of us that have trouble seeing. Might I suggest enlarging the text a bit? Just a thought. Great job!

Living in sunny Southern California, the main differences we notice is the changes wrought by standard and daylight savings time.. Where I live it is not uncommon to experience an 80 degree day in late December. I too love seeing new growth take place, but here of late I just go to the grocery store for my fresh fruits and vegetables.

Wow you really have got a backlog of poetry to support your frequent posting, and all very polished, although I have a penchant for rhythm, possibly born of s musical background, you are a genuine poet, which means you won't have problems tackling other forms, well done, blessings Roy

I used to ride a lot of haiku and tanka. Maybe I'll tackle those after I get rid of this other backlog
