I like it a lot! I think the girls will love this as well and they will look forward to each part expanded in forthcoming letters. I think you are doing a wonderful job with it.

I have enjoyed your first 2 stories for your granddaughters,
Barbara. This one had much info about your growing up life
and ways to expand on it as you alluded. I believe this project
will be something both girls will treasure forever. The picture
was a perfect addition to your story.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Yep, yep, yep,. All those things and more, I can actually remember after all being ready for bed, the whole family sitting around the radio listening to Sunday night playhouse, the Bunkhouse show and sundry boys programmes during the week. Beautifully written Barbara, blessings Roy

My grandpa like boxing. I remember sitting around his radio as he listened to boxing and getting into trouble for being too loud. I was very young at the time. Thank you for the support.

You brought back some memories here Barbara, especially those telephone booths! I remember the day we have a colour TV and it was very exciting. I enjoyed your reminiscing letter here, I could identify with all your words, how different life is now, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

I loved how you describe the differences of childhood environments between you and your granddaughters' especially the technological differences. I didn't see a TV until I was six. But coming to the US, so many things were different. I'm sure your granddaughters will love learning about your childhood and the safety that you experienced.

I think your granddaughters will be very excited to get these and learn more about what life was like when their grandmother was growing up. I did not see anything to add or take away from this. Thank you for sharing. love and blessings, Teri

A nice image for this letter, barbara. I remember the black and white t.v. very well. You did a good job with the letter, and I like your idea of expanding with others. Your granddaughters will appreciate this thoughtful gift.

You do a good job letting them know how different things were done back in the day. I like your description of what watching television was like and sharing the lesson that you gained from it.

Well done.

I remember those days so well and wish you could go back to them. I was just thinking yesterday how everyone dresses these days, even me sometimes, and it boggles my mine.

Hi Barbara, yes, changes has really happened nas it always will during a lifetime. Now the difference fro America and Europe in today's world is that children still play outside no problem. Here dinner is still eaten as a family, and take aways in Spain is not a common thing. We all cook from scratch with raw materials, like lean meat, veg, lots of fruits and nuts and pulses. Olive oil is always used.
I enjoyed reading this, but some of it saddens me as well. All the above has somehow been lost in the US. Ulla xx
