Sorry to hear about your health. That is tough to deal with, but I guess the best thing to do is whatever the doctors tell you. Try Paxlovid for the Coronavirus. Sometimes I think it's best not to know what's wrong with you because all you do after knowing is worrying about it. But that's me. Looking forward to your new book. estory

Thank you, Estory, I've made a note to ask my doctor about Paxlovid, It might be called something different here. I knew nothing about Long Covid, until I was diagnosed with it. I just thought you had Covid for a bit longer. Hmm, it's worse. Thanks for your suggestion, my friend, I really appreciated it. Huge hugs, Sandra xxx

Oh, Sandra, so you have long COVID. It does explain a lot of things, doesn't it? I am so sorry for you and with every it entails. But I know you're a fighter. Now, the main thing is you're looking after yourself. I will be looking out for your new book, when you're ready. A big hug, Ulla xxxx

Thank you, Ulla. I'd told everyone that I was going to have a short break because I was so tired. At least I know why now. I'll still be reading and reviewing your new story, and others I'm following, just not all at once. I'll not let it get me down. Thanks, my friend. Love and hugs. Sandra xx

I am so sorry you are having to deal with this! My mother had long covid, and she is still suffering effects of it years later. Thank you for updating us, and best wishes to you.

Thank you, Jess! I do think the older we are when we get it, the longer it takes before it leaves us. I hope your mother feels better soon. Love and hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Fanstory rock star!! Lol. Thank you, John, you've made my day, and given me a laugh. I do take short walks, and Graham comes with me, just in case I have a giddy spell. I'm trying to walk a bit farther each day, or two days. It gives me something to aim at.
Thank you, my friend. I really appreciated what you said. Love and hugs. Sandra xx

Oh, Sandra, we'd never forget you even if you weren't reviewing. And with your headaches, you should do only a few at a time. This hits close to home, Sandra. My daughter got Covid, a mild case, in London in March of 2022. She's been suffering from Long Covid ever since. The NHS doctors did not know what to do for her and the waiting times were very long. She has some of your symptoms but also it doesn't help that she has PMS. It would help if she would walk for 5 minutes a day but she doesn't do anything with regularity so she's been mostly sleeping and watching videos for the past year. We're also in the middle of moving.

Goodness, Helen! I'm being forced out of the house for a short walk every day, unless it's raining, and I am pleased when I've done it. It does help. The tiredness is hard to fight, but your daughter must try. Even if it's a short walk to the end of the road and back.(Providing it's not a long road.) The waiting times here at the moment are terrible, I'm hoping it will start to get better now that they have agreed a pay rise. Unfortunately the doctors can't tell us how long we have to live with this Long Covid. But we can't give in to it, even though I have, many times. Try to get her to go for that short walk, she will feel so much better. Good luck with your moving, dear friend. And I'll only review when I feel up to it. Love and hugs, my friend. Sandra xx (I'm glad you won't forget me!) xx

Well, if it's mom telling her to do something, well she won't do it, even if she wanted to do so. That's a pattern from her childhood and she's 30 now.

LOL! I was guilty of that! We all think we know more than our parents, but we don't. Love you. xxx

Sorry to hear you are long on Covid. I am long on disruption. The work on the insulation and reating system is complete. The disruption and confusion however remains and I still have to redecorate sovI won't be finished with the hassle till well after I return from Latvia

Lol, well at least the work has been finished? When do you leave for your trip to Latvia? Not long now, is it? What did you think of the race today? If you can, we'll have a chat before you go on holiday.

Now I know I have Long Covid and that is the cause of my voice breaking up, and that it is also the cause of my other problems, I feel a bit brighter. It has been the worry of it being something else. I can cope more now. Thank you for that lovely star, Jim, that was so sweet of you. If I don't hear from you, have a lovely holiday! Love and hugs, Sandra xx

Shortness of breath is scary. I'm asthmatic and I hate it when I have an attack. My doctor told me it will get better, so I'll just carry on helping myself. Graham will make sure of it. I'm glad you're over it now. What a relief it must be. Thank you, Dolly. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

I will be among the missing as well. I fell a week ago and injured my knee and feet. My knees turned to butter and I collapsed straight down, hard, on my legs and feet crushing my right foot and tweaking my left knee. You should see my foot. Nothing's broken, but I have had to use a walker for a week now. Now this morning I have pleurisy in my left shoulder blade area. I have been here on short visits because I needed my foot elevated for comfort. Be Careful! Don't fall!
It's getting warm here now with May a day away! I will soak up some sun and get some natural healing from it. God Bless you Dear and take care of Sanda. we would miss you. Hugs. Nancy:)xxxxx

Oh, Nancy! What are you? What caused you're knee to do that? I'm sure you were in agony! I'll make a point of not falling over. But I do have a fear of falling down our stairs. Graham is going to put a child gate at the top so I can prepare myself going down.
You take care of you, and I'll take care of me. Lol. Love you lots, my dear friend. Sandra xx

I believe it was a prescription I have been taking too long. It played with the nerve endings in my body and it caused me to loose control. I had happened before but I didn't realize it then. I am trying to wean myself off this drug. I didn't like it when I started taking it years ago and when I looked it up on the Internet I find it is a very dangerous drug. I had all the bad side effects. Beware the cure! It is often worse than the ailment. Get better. Hugs Nancy:)

I enjoyed your whinging, I can relate to most of it as old age certainly sucks. I don't have long Covid but I lost my sense of smell after a cold at least six months before anyone had even heard about Covid. It has finally come back partially.
Thanks for sharing. Jen.

Thank you, Jen. The loss of smell isn't nice, to have to sniff what I've been doing, I wouldn't mind losing it!! But I've been told it will pass eventually, like yours did. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

Hi Sandra,

the important thing is to rest whenever you can. I have long Covid as well but mine mainly manifests as fatigue, aches and shortness of breath. not easy when you have an ADHD-raddled 11 year old at home and work with teenagers! lol

You can't be too careful about thinking about brain tumours. My sister-in-law always had headaches & migraines until they diagnosed a brin tumour. She passed away six years ago at the age of 46 because of it!

Hopefully I'll have some free time soon to finish off the last book. I think i have 10 chapters or so left! lol

That explains my constant tiredness, my voice keeping cracking up, (might even account for my brain cracking up!) - need end punctuation here.

Incidentally at end of March / start of April I was over in England to see my in-laws at Saffron Walden. Never so happy to get home again!

All the best
G

The fatigue isn't nice. I keep asking myself why? It's not as if I'm able to do much.
I had two of my best friends, when I lived in Spain, have brain tumours, husband and wife. Carol went first, and then Ron. I felt bad for him, because having nursed Carol, he knew what he was in for. They died within a year of each other. You're right, we can't think light of headaches, they are there to give you a warning. Sometimes it's not serious, but sometimes it just might be. I'm sorry you lost your sister-in-law through it. It must have devasted your brother. She was very young. My late husband died of cancer when he was 46. I'm old enough to be his mother now. The memories they leave behind, do help. Unfortunately my youngest son was too young to remember him. He has two children himself now. You might remember me talking about Eric, who I wrote those books for. He has dyslexia and is boarder-line autistic. You told me about your daughter. But I'm sure you love every minute you spend with her. We have to carry on, even when we wish we could just go to bed and sleep for a couple of days. They need us.
Thank you, Gareth, I'll check my end punctuation, thanks for that.

Whenever you're feeling up to reading, is fine. It will be there waiting. It was a short one, 41000 words.

England is going to pot! The whole country is on strike. It's getting ridiculous. Thanks, my friend, I hope you get better soon, too. Sandra xx
