Are pumpkins spicy? I know they are delicious when mixed with cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves, and you brought a great sense of the season here, much enjoyed, love Dolly x x x

I have a huge pumpkin growing in my garden right now - not quite ready to eat, I suspect - now I'm caught between picking it too soon or leaving it too long!
I've read quite a few entries for this contest today and nearly all of them have focused on autumn colours so I appreciate your ode switching to autumn smells. I had been thinking of making soup with that big fella, but perhaps pumpkin pie could be on the menu too!
