Hi Jim,
This is well written and reminds us that there is always hope for a better day ahead if we all do our part to make it that way. It seems the talking heads just like to harp on the negative of any situation.
You kept the four line quote and ten line stanza rules, But each line of the quote is supposed to be the last line of each succeeding stanza and you didn't follow that rule. And you were supposed to put the author of the quote in the poem.

Knowledge pours in like an flowing pitcher
Of water into an empty basin.
Joan, In reviewing my post I had not realized in pasting the poem the stanzic breaks were out of sync. Thank so much for pointing this out.
