Good entry for this contest. I have often wondered why it was called a "murder of crows." Thank you for your explanation and also for the notes regarding Van Gogh's paintings.

Fantastic!

You took a beautiful image and brought it to life with your words. A rustle in the breeze and then the crows flying high from the field, surprising the reader, leaving quiet again and the smell of nature surrounding her. Awesome!

Oh thank you so much! I am touched that you liked this little 5-7-5. I love Van Gogh and this Wheatfield with Crows is one of my favorites so I thought I would write what I feel when I see it.
