I simply like your description illustration of the color you have based on your point of view. It's beautifully written. Excellent work! Best wishes in the contest!

This is interesting. I never heard this word before or seen it in print. But I do understand the meaning as you explained it.
Interesting and enjoyable to think of this condition as a gift. It sounds very confusing to me. I don't think I could handle it.
But your poem reads fluently and flows pretty easily through the sequence of the senses.
Best of luck,
Marie

This is an interesting poem about feeling colors rather then seeing them. Music and sound can bring certain colors to mind. This is a creative take on the color poem, thanks for sharing. :)

I not only enjoyed reading your contest entry, but it also educated me. That is really good. I have, in passing, heard about this but you explained it very well. Thank you. Good luck with the contest.

Thank you for the author's notes - what an educating and new area of the
brain I had no idea about! The author's words are colorful, interesting, and so creative. I read these words over and over again - I will ponder
more on this topic. The poem flows and connects well. The artwork is
awesome! Have a great day!....Maria

Synaesthesia is so fascinating, and you have truly helped it come to life here; the variety of sensations and your creativity with imagery is all vivid and exciting. I especially love these phrases, which sent my imagination soaring: spatial cinnamon, melodic stone, etc. Love this!!!

I can see running fingers through gray hair and toes in sand for the first two. I like the jump around all kinds of colors to be metaphors for items.
This should do well in the contest. It is very imaginative. Good luck.

It is nearly incomprehensible. My mind cannot grasp what it cannot do. My daughter recently told me she would love to have this superb sensory ability. So much about the brain we don't know! Your poem allows !e to imagine.

Hi Karenina,
Yes, this is indeed more common than people realize I found out. We all have our own unique wiring up in the cranium that we are born with and since it is so natural to us, we never even know to discuss it with any one because it's all we know.
I think you are correct in this, Karenina ? there is so much we just don?t know about our brains, or our bodies in general.
Thanks for a super review and for sharing your thoughts as always, my friend :-)

This is beautiful, both the image and the poem, and even though I don't understand this gift fully there is great lyricism in the words, and a challenge to comprehend. (I see numbers spatially, in rising and falling patterns as if on ladders, but going around corners ... not sure if this is a tiny part of it). The poem is incredibly imaginative, very creative!! Best wishes for this unusual and beautiful entry in the Colour contest.

Hi Wendy,
I want to thank you for your very intriguing thoughts and super review.
Yes, I think we all have some very individual ways our own brains process things. We are hardwired from birth uniquely and never know what we visualize is out of the norm or not. I have found out synesthesia is more common, in differing degrees and types than once thought. Your number visualizations are interesting! I have some of the mental ladder positioning of numbers when adding or counting but a more circular numbering visually when thinking of time (like a clock face) or days of the week or month. All very interesting for sure :-)
Thanks again!
