Your faith radiates from the page right into my soul! It's easy to begin to dismay over COVID, the state of race relations, political chicanery and the like... A poem like this is uplifting and a timely reminder that regardless of our current state of affairs--there is always joy in Jesus' love!--BTW---congrats on your sobriety! --Karenina

Beautifully written, I've been in the way for some 37 years, but I've been far more aware and afraid of my own propensities to be led away , I'm well aware of the devil's devices, but still the flesh is my greatest enemy, Jesus has disarmed Satan, (Colossians 2:15) otherwise we can be stuck in the trap of "Satan made me do it" As Paul says Romans 7, "the things I want to do I do not, and the things I don't want to...I do, who will deliver me? but thanks be to Christ" I have no faith in myself, but in Christ" we should never be in that worse trap of religious pride, which is truly obnoxious to God. Beautifully written,

The latter part of Psalms chapter 30, verse 5 says: Weeping may come in the evening, but in the morning, there is a joyful cry. (NWT 2013) So often at night, things can seem to be their darkest, but with the rising of the sun and we realize that we have been preserved alive, there is much cause for rejoicing. In the light of day what bothered us at night can seem small and insignificant.
