Hello Sandramitchell,
M is For Meerkat - Nice piece in the series of English Alphabets having lovely Verse and Excellent Prose Section depicting BEAUTIFULLY Meerkat's all the ins and outs.
Enchanting as well as Meaningful flow throughout from the beginning to the end.
Pictures enhance depth and beauty of the theme.
Entertaining and Educative as well - A Great Service Indeed.
Laudable Attempt!

Hi Sandra, I find these to be most amazing creatures, and they have learned so much about their environment. It must have been by trial and error, can't imagine. They way they stand on lookout duty is most endearing. Another great chapter for your book. ~Mel~ xx

They are clever, aren't you. I have no idea how the first meerkats survived the scorpions, blowed if I'd like to try biting off their stinger! Thank you, Mel, for another lovely review, I'm glad you enjoyed reading about them. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

ALWAYS so interesting! I love this -- the poem and the fun facts are great. :)
Something to stomp:
would be from such preditors as snakes, jackels and eagles. >> would be from such predators s snakes, jackals and eagles. (Both predators and jackals.)
Fun read! thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
Deb

Hi Sandra, tell Graham, that is one sassy looking Meerkat standing so proud and tall...has to be a female...look at the beauty in that face...that stances...perfect...I love your poem my amazing friend...and as always...a wonderful description of the little Meerkats...but you might want to be careful...if your looking for nits...these guys would be the right place to go...not to much water for baths out there...unless they use a grub as a washcloth...and I'm not crazy about their choice of diet...but they're cute little dickens...

love all your pictures...but Grahams is number #1 once again...Sassy wins first place...very well written beautiful girl...sending much love to ya...always...Linda xxoo

say hi to Ian for me...I hope his test came well...xxoo love

    Hi, Linda.
Use a grub as a washcloth!!! YUK!! LOL!! Only you could have thought of that! Thank you for the six stars, dear girl, and for making me laugh! I never thought about any nits on the meerkats, I think they wash each other with their tongues like other animals do, and then eat all the surprise treats they find in their fur coats!!! LOL.
I've told Graham what you said about his picture, the head is expanding again, lol. Bless him, he does enjoy doing this, especially when he gets such wonderful praise like yours. :))

Thank you my lovely friend, for your lovely review, the stars and the fun, I love it all. Big hugs, and so much love, too. :)) xxxxxx Sandra xxx
Still waiting on results, everything is in slow motion here. :( xxx

by the time this book is done...Graham will have to wear a helmet to keep the swelling down...I'm glad he enjoys doing this for you...smiling big...

and you amazing lady are so very welcome...

some of the test hear take forever as well...all in good time...

have a lovely day...much love to you both...
    God Bless... xxoo

They are unusual and unique creatures. They're also highly intelligent. A lookout scout watching for predators is genius. I'm enjoying these little animal stories and information. Thanks for sharing this informative, interesting, and well written work. Well done!

This was so informative and so much fun to read. Of course, it was also well written and the illustrations paired perfectly with your words. I give you the six stars you deserve. I am hoping the book will be available to buy when you finish it so I can get it for my grandson.

Sandra, this is very informative and great for a 12 year old. I'll tell you, though, I bet he'd like to know (as would I) what kinds of tasks they learn, if they're so smart! (a few examples). Also, what animals are the Meerkat's predators? But I did learn several interesting things in your account. I used to be a docent at our zoo, years ago, and the questions those kids asked!! I don't remember if we had Meerkats or not. (it's been too long)
This is a neat idea and a great thing to hand down through the years, generation to generation.

Thank you so much for this lovely review, Katharine, and those great suggestions. I've just added what their predators are. Mainly snakes, jackals and eagles. I'm going to see if I can find what test they did up in Scotland, and add them as well. I'll do that tomorrow. Thanks again, I really appreciated you input. Have a lovely week, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Fearless little fellows, they are!! :) And, cute and entertaining as they are, they are animals without human 'morals'... a great thing for young folks to learn, my lady! :) :) Kindof like rabbits: there's just so many of them, the lifespan/predator thing isn't an issue as long as man doesn't 'break the circle' that nature has established... :) :) Thanx for sharing, my lady!! ;) Yvette

As well as their main --> In addition to their main [the 'as well as' usually links two similar things...:)]

In captivity they live --> In captivity, they live

Thank you for finding those silly nits, Yvette, I don't know how they escape my eagle eye!! lol. I'm so grateful that you pointed them out. I'm with you on the 'circle of life', nature has it all worked out. I hope you're still well? Have a lovely week, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

You might have been told by now or it could be my computer but some of your chosen pictures did not materialize . It didn't bother me because I am so astute I could imagine what
what you were telling us. HAHA. Good job, Sandra. They are cute little fellows aren't they? Well done. Nancy:)

No, everyone has said how nice all the pictures are, so it might be your computer. I'll double check though. They are cute, that's why I chose them, everyone loves them, even me. :)) Do you get the adverts with them in? They have the babies with them and it is so sweet. Thank you, sweet friend, for reading and I'm so pleased you are sooooo astute that you could imagine what I was saying! But then I already knew that!!! Thank you, dear friend. Have a lovely day/week! :)) Sandra xxx
