You never disappoint me with your story. It's like being there with them, right in the middle of things. Now that Veronica's gone back to her time, let's hope she can come up with some solution to help the child. I can imagine what it must have been like in those days for an albino. It's not much easier now.
I may have told you already, one of my blind cousins married a blind man who was an albino, and my daddy worked with an albino, so I was 'introduced' to this at an early age. I never showed any reaction to them, and I came to not even noticing the difference. 8-)

That is so nice of you, my dear friend. Your amazing review and golden six stars are so just so beautiful. It isn't that much different today, we still hear of atrocities done to our fellow man. It's a sad world, Yvonne.
Yes, you did tell me about your cousin, Yvonne. That was a really nice 'feel-good' story. When you are introduced to someone who is '"different" at an early age, it would become natural to you. It would be great of every child was taught that looking different is good and natural. Thank you again, my wonderful friend. :) Sandra xxxx

What a sad story she had to tell. Jacob was no where to be found when she needed him most. John suffered too because she bolted out of the church. I would have done the same. It would have infuriated me as well to see him checking the time as I was walking down the isle. It was just the nudge she needed to get out of an unwanted marriage. Poor Gwen. Well done Sandra. Thank you, my dear friend. No, Gwendolyn didn't have a good like once she was of marriageable age. I would hate to live that way, and there are many cultures that do this to women today. Awful, isn't it. Thanks again, my friend. :) sandra xxx

What a chapter Sandra! Poor Gwendolyn having to suffer through the agony of her almost wedding, the disappearance of Jacob and the life and suffering of Frances. Veronica does pick the most interesting times to travel. This of course adds suspense to the story. By being back in her own time, it still leaves questions unanswered and outcomes unknown. But it does give her chance to investigate further. Thankfully she has Mildred and James finally understands. Another great job my friend, thanks.

Veronica has no choice in when and where she will go, but you are right, she had to do some research now with the help of Mildred and James. But, she also will get to be with her children again for a while.Thank you so much for another lovely review, Alie, I really appreciate your encouragement. :) Sandra xxx

'Well, good for you! That was really brave to leave him standing at the altar.' I chuckled,(.) 'I would have loved to have seen the look on his face. I'm sure he didn't expect that!'
Good chapter. A deep, dialog driven scene. I love how it closes with another O LORDY!
Just notice one spag:
* He heard me enter(,) and his temper exploded.
Good pacing, characterization, etc.
Fine descriptive detail. I'm always game for another added simile, though, if you find a spot!
Warm Smiles,

An intriguing chapter. Well written, easy to follow.
The story is interesting and draws the reader in.
The picture of a woman in despair s the perfect match to your story.
The characters are believable.
Well done.

Oh Sandra, this is just such another wonderful chapter. We now know what Gwendolyn went through and what she was hiding about her son. Not an easy situation at all. And now Veronica is back in her own time. Fascinating.
Only a minor thing: Joe doesn't have a chance to tell anyone = Joe didn't have a chance ...
Can't wait to reading on. A big hug. Ulla xxxx
