This is a strangely enchanting piece of poetry. while not clinging absolutely to a set metre it is built on an anapaestic feel that gives on the impression of a ghostlike walts through her manifestation. A variety of rhyme schemes are pressed into service to carry this fantastic tale of lesbian style romance along along, but all the while it reads rather like free verse.

The imagery and descriptions are unbelievably beautiful. Adifficult poem to analyse but one that held me spellbound from beginning to end.

If it had you spellbound my work is done. When I heard about Olive ghost I felt moved to read and write about her. I wanted people to remember her. Thank-you so much for your very kind and positive review I am so grateful kindest regards meia :) oh, P.s...I thought it was understood, I often write as a man, in this case I was describing a man should I have made that more clear do you think?

The gender side worried me at first, not that I care about an individual's sexuality but I did wonder on the precise nature of this love. It wasn't clear to me, no. Perhaps a not to that effect might be a good idea. It wouldv save embarrasment.

I think the sexuality of the male stage-hand is fairly obvious. I also write about cannibalistic child killing Manics, from their point of view, that is something I am holding out on posting, because Albert Fish was a sicko....yet I write AS him. I also write AS children, that does not make me a child, I write AS peodophilles (In my Lolita series 'The Diry of H. Humbert'...that does not make me a sex pervert. I don't like to explain my poems too much, it takes the mystery away, thank-you as always for your great review :)

I am sorry if I underestimated your first person writing abilities. There are are not many here who can be as convincing in such a variety of voices. I take your point about not explaining but you have to expect then that some of us thickoes will get it wrong.

    I enjoy your poetry immensely.

Not at all, I looked at it from a readers point of view and added in 'man' to the first stanza. I write as a variety of different people, with different voices, and that is not immediately noticeable unless you have seen a lot of my work. Thank-you again for your very kind words, I am delighted you enjoy my work as I always do yours :) Meia

Antonio, that was the man with the brush. Every month in Playboy, in Hellish places like Adak and Chicago, look for the Vargas girl....and the Shel Silverstein poems and the Ribald Classics and everybody's cartoons. I think there was even a picture feature of a girl, too. Excellent poem.

Yes the Vargas girls were really something! I used to sneak a look in Playboy too always wanting to be like those girls...but that is another story! Thankyou so much for your very kind and positive review I am so grateful kindest regards meia :)

Lovely photo and painting that complement your lengthy poem perfectly. This is about a girl. Shame she stayed so unknown.

Oh Meia, I simply loved this. What a great story and your presentation is quite superb.Mastfully excuted in prose, rhyme and presentation. I read it quickly at first then read your notes and then went back and slowly read it taking in all your punctuation and descriptive lines in each Stanza. You have created such a great story and I love the fact that the man also commited suicide to be with her and feels he is better off with Olive. Fabulous imagination Meia Well done a definite well deserved six. Cheers Christine

What a sad story of a poor but beautiful girl. Robbed of innocence at the young age and stolen dignity. You did an amazing work creating this piece, my friend. Excellent. Love, Ella

You are welcome, Meia. Keep a smile on your face, love. Run from people who will try to take it off and be gentle with yourself. Love, Ella

And now in the theatre
A ghost I am now. (I would take out one of the nows)

This is a fascinating story which I hadn't heard before. The way you wrote it makes it come to life. Well done, my friend~Debbie

An excellent poem and a tragic story. I like a post that teaches me something and you have filled that need today. Thank you for the sad story.

How have I been missing your posts? I thought I had fanned you but apparently I need to do it again. This was a superb story in a poem and what a story too. Thanks so much for the notes, they were as intriguing as the poem. Superb work with this one. You got my last 6, I am so glad I kept it.
