Hi w,j,debi, I have never heard of this type of poem before but doesn't it work well, your rhyming is imacuate as is the rhythm and flow.

The meter is good and the whole poem reads beautifully, thanks for sharing my friend.

Hello Debi! Nice to see a kyrielle sonnet from you :) Nice repeating line. Lovely iambic meter, rhymes and theme. This should be a contest entry. Your beautiful work would be a strong contender if it were in a contest.

    Hi Joy,
Thank you so much for the encouraging review. It means a lot that I got the meter right coming from you since I know you are a stickler when it comes to iambic meter. I appreciate you stating that it would do well in a contest. Right now I am just practicing. Contests? Maybe later.
It is great to hear from you.

A beautiful message about being a foreigner like Moab Ruth. From the Bible scripture. She has a faithful heart and will understand when she accepts His guiding hand. Just like Ruth the poet says she is also in His care. He knows my needs and hears my prayers. She, herself feels so small. The port, like Ruth accepts His guiding hand. A beautiful personification and poem!

This is lovely. I took particular care to look at the tense throughout the poem and
you have maintained it perfectly. The subject is well known to me, as I love the story of Ruth and Naomi. It is an example of loyalty and faith and you have expressed what it means to you beautifully. Rhythm and rhyme are perfect . Well done cheers Cass

Thank you, Cass! I always worry about the tense so I am happy to hear I got it right. This is one of my favorite stories too. That verse where Ruth declares her devotion and states she will not leave Naomi is so beautiful. Thank you for the nice comments about the writing. Debi
