What I would give to go back and find a much simpler and less stressful way of life. I never had much when my children were small, but I had time to enjoy them and we did things that didn't cost money. Nowadays, kids are all about expensive technical stuff and parents are stressed to the point of breaking.

There was stress back the, but we were better able to handle it You are right about it being harder to raise kids these days. They aren't like we were, and their needs and wants are much more complicated.

Thank you Joel. I don't plan to promote them for the market. I'm writing them for my family. I'm big into genealogy and I would love it if someone had left something behind to let get to know my ancestors. I'll self publish and get copies for my family.

Thank you Bob. I really appreciate your review and comments. The baby gets named in a in the next one. Into Every Life Some Rain must Fall. It is still active as is An Awkward Situation.
I've made the book but I was letting these chapters stand alone until they are no longer active. There are eight chapters in the book already. It is called Chasing the Elusive Dream.

Your ability to describe your situations so well is a testament to your writing skills. This said, I can relate to the 'pressure' on when you would start a family. I hared it and was unable to wait until I graduated college.

wow $12.500! My first house back 1n 1968 was $23,500 and I thought that was a small fortune. Who knew that ordinary middle class folks would be spending hundreds of thousands of dollars for brick and mortar some day?

Thank you Lee, I appreciate the review and comments. I have eight or nine in sequence and several others that will come later. I'm trying to put this into book form but I can't seem to come up with a good title. Any ideas?

Don't worry too much about a title, Beth. Your publisher will want to change it anyway.

Thank you Brooke, I appreciate the review. Yes, those times were very different from today. Our parents had been through the great depression so a bit of their thrifty attitudes rubbed off on us.

Thank you for the review and comments Nancy. Evan didn't have any relative named Dusty so I got away with naming the dog. He was a strange shade of gray, so Dusty seemed the natural name.
