I think we all need to write ourselves a little poem or song for ourselves because we all have those days when we just need a pick me up. This is your pick me up. Great job

Brilliant thoughts, why not write an ode to thyself? A cheeky, happy, fun-filled poem (we need more laughter.) I liked the suttle descriptions like 'but have yellow, innocent eyes' - freedom is a woman that can love what she does and does what she loves. Well done poet.

OH, happy days it is raining here in Queensland - I wrote a poem called Mother Earth how we long for some respite from the heat and destructive fires - where are you? Kay.

Yeah! You're hot stuff - lol. I love this. What a total and unfettered freedom you show in this free-flowing piece. Keep on smiling and looking up and embracing all life has to offer and you'll probably be around until you're one hundred. Good luck in the contest!

Yeah! You go girl! HAHAHA! This is so much fun, Sharyn. There is so much enthusiasm in this, my god, I was grinning the whole way through. You put yourself in tune with EVERYTHING it seems! Wonderful read - all those little details. Love the reference to the old Walmart watch, and 'gold-buttered' afternoon is just yummy!
This was such a pleasure to read after at tough day at work. Thanks!

Hah, this was a lot of fun to read. Everyone needs to spend a moment celebrating themselves every once in a while. Sounds like you have a lot of fun in life. Not sure I've ever liked banana bread, but I have done some strange things like smell books...Lol.
The whole poem has a very cheery feeling to it, and just as you say in your notes, I can really tell that you saw and felt everything you wrote about.
Well done.

The mood, the tone, and the voice of this poem go well together. Excitement is in the air, and that comes through not only by the structure of your poem but also by your very poignant, beautiful that you penned.
Brilliant.

I would like to step into your shoes and feel those wonderful things. I'm freezing my fingers off, and wondering if my nose will stay on. LOL. Well done.
