Well done from both a technical standpoint as well as from a linguistic point of view. We just won't mention anything to Jimmy Page about the picture.

I hope this helps and good luck.

TheDone, where've you been? Haven't seen you around for awhile. On writer's hiatus?? Ha! Page is so busy with Zeppelin's legacy now, he won't mind (I think - ha!). I'm still waiting for Plant to come to his senses and go on tour! Thanks so much for your review. And happy to have you back to read my work! :-)) Sue

Yep, work's been crazy. Too many deadlines. But I've got some stuff to post and I've got to build up my member dollars to do it, so I might be back with a vengeance for the near term. I got people pushing me for two books and an editor that wants four 750 word articles in 10 days. And don't even get me started about my real job!

WOW! You ARE a busy bee! One day I will get you started about your real job. HA!
Good luck on all your writing. Especially the one you have a deadline on. Uh, oh. Did that stress you a bit? LOL!!

Good to have you back. Yeah, but back and review me like crazy and pick up those nickels and dimes! :-)) Sue

Very interesting and likeable (is that a word?) By the way, liked the Led Zeppelin picture at the top.

I think the words chaos and penetrate were the strongest for that particular peice, and found they did well in conveying the message.
Wonderful.

GREAT subject to do your rictameter on, SK. Like what you say about harmony amongst constant chaos. No matter what the circumstances are, the beautiful gift of music can soothe, even the most troubled of hearts. So often, I'll be deeply touched while in a grocery store, or shop even - when I hear some beautiful song that penetrates my spirit. Such splendor amidst the cacophony of life. Thanks for sharing, and all the best in the contest,
Heather

without music this would become a very dull existence. I liked your ode to music as it was well written. It was my delight to have read and reviewed it... John

This is an excellent poem. :) Thanks for the introduction to the Rictameter. I think I'll have to try one myself... with a bit of a twist, perhaps. Great job, keep it up! :)

This is a great rictameter and I agree whole heartedly with the sentiments included. What would life be without music, I can't imagine. Excellent entry and I wish you good luck. Kay

I like it Cuz, the smattering of inner rhyme I thought was very good, the word usage was great and the flow of the piece just sails it along. I agree with it too, where would we be without music?
Sincerely,
Curt

Yes, it is so true that we all long for music. (Well, almost everyone) One thing is for certain, the history of music goes back as far as the history of humankind. This is a thought provoking little posting. Good job. Sincerely, Dean

Very nice poem. You did a great job giving the reader a feeling of passion for music. I love music and listen always when I am writing or doing chores. The poem flowed nicely.
