This poem, Glowing Moon, presented with six AABB-rhymed quatrains, allows that the evening, and its effects on us, can bring the cruel day down to something less brutal and more atypical. The serenity of the evening ambiance and the vacuum of person, moon, and sea, aid in dispersing troubles.

Why less verbs? I appreciate the suggestion about the ands. I am down to only one and it is not a conjunction. It is in front of the last item in the list

I just notice that each line has 11 syllables .. now I understand why you have many sentences with two verbs paired together.
Here a just some lines which sound better with one verb.
as drunks come outside to start sipping their beers.
As drunks come outside sipping their beers
begin to encourage his bad thoughts to flee.
Encourages his bad thoughts to flee
Soft glow from the moonlight has followed him home
Soft glow from the moonlight followed him home.
Less verbs creates a better flow but like I said , I now see you want 11 syllables per line.
Overall, I love the calming mood you were able to create. 🙂
PS: I can see you removed several Ands
