As always, I love all the wonderful details you include about your family and especially why they rated where they did. Unfortunately, your father letting you ride on the running boards of the car didn't rate very high with me.
I loved your will power... I never would have been able to save one candy bar... I'm a declared chocoholic for sure!
Wonderful story!
A few oops... Nothing serious!
my grandpa to do anything (could)
which I'd begged him to tell..(.)
all the to eighteen bars.(way)
Smiles and hugs, Carol

Thank you Carol. I appreciate the review. You never stood on a running board and road. It was usually just a little way in the care with the window open and my dad creeping along slowly. It was safe.

Oh heavens! My mother would have been screaming till doomsday if she'd ever seen us do that. She had a fit when I climbed trees or walked the top bar of my swingset, only to drop and catch it with my knees. LOL

I enjoyed your writing. You share a fascinating glimpse into your childhood world. The story is filled with colorful characters and experiences. I love the little details such as the hierarchy of family favorites. The taboo subjects! I just though your writing did a wonderful job of sharing your childhood innocence and curiosit. It was a wonderful reflection on the journey from childhood to adulthood. Thank you for sharing these cherished memories!

A really nice story about the people who were important to you in your life as a child. I like the way you explained why each person meant what they did. Mother first, and then down to some extended family.
The will power part was hilarious. At least it helped you to spend your money wisely. I should take example from you.
Take care,
Rhonda
