Short and sweet and you ask why did this not come out of you before..Well, I believe we all have grand streaks of creativity...
Some of what I consider to be my very best writing was written quickly after after waking up... For example Temptation or Awaken...

Oh yes, my best creativity bursts out of me at the strangest times. (Kind of)
    Taking a shower. Driving.
    Probably because, ones
mind has a chance to calm down, take a break, and move to the right side, the magic hemisphere.

For sure and I am so aware of this.. my metaphors always appear that way. I often feel like someone else is writing?.

Its quite true .You are with yourself ,your true self ;no need to put on any mask .But i think it would be nice to think of it as solitude..Loneliness has a sadness about it but solitude one seeks ...all the best..

Yes, true. But this was meant as a way to deal with loneliness, and reboot oneself. Thank you, though.

This is short but very sweet. I totally agree with your theory that you are your own best friend, I certainly am and never feel lonely on my own. I hope you are the same. Best wishes. Jen.

Yes, you get it. That is what I wanted to convey. A way out of depression, by realizing you, yourself are ok.
    Thank you.

Not all poetry has to be long, who wants to read a long poem but poetry fans? Not all short poetry is Japanese, have you read the red wheelbarrow by WC Williams 15 words I think? I really like this. I think it can be read in two different ways which is quite an achievement for something so concise. Are you your own best friend (my reading) or is God with you? Great stuff, no need to defend your brevity that is its beauty.

Thank you. I appreciate your open mind. And, I am impressed that you have read "The Red Wheelbarrow." I have as well.
Which, in and of itself, amazes me. Only because,
I have not read many of the classics. Some, yes. But, most are on my bucket list.
Soon to be uh, yeah, gotten
    to.

We can be alone and not feel the loneliness and in company and feel very alone. It is a state of mind, but we are never really alone, a fine post, love Dolly x x x

Nice...

Once we learn to love ourselves we are
never truly lonely again...

Solitude is a wonderful chance to take an inner journey.

Sometimes that takes a lifetime!

I like this, as it does describe loneliness, I don't think I would agree with
"is not so bad" though being with your best friend can't be that bad, very intriguing, very well written and presented****kahpot

I can not stand to be alone at certain times than other times it's all I want. Maybe I am a strange bird.

Great interesting poem. A lot was relayed with so few words.

I don't think you're strange based on you comment. I think you're normal but may not realize it yet.

    Thank you,

Hi Doug,
This short poem goes well with the picture. Though I would say being alone is fine but being lonely isn't.
This shows a positive self-image.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Enjoy the rest of the week.

Don't being alone and lonely interchange so oft as to make one wonder where they are?

    Thank you,

    Hi Doug,
You can be alone in a house watching TV or reading and not be lonely. Or on a walk alone enjoying nature and not be lonely. I equate lonely as being sad or hopeless.
    You're welcome.

The image and words come together well. Yes, very much like Haiku. Perhaps you are a natural at Haiku. Make sure when you have another inspiration that you Haiku it into a competition. There seem to be a lot of them on this site.

Thank you, Barry. I shall consider it. However, I am not a rule lover.
Never have been. Hence, I write soley in free form. But I di think this was perhaps better as a Haiku.

    Thank you,

    Doug
