Ayesha has her hands full with Bapit and with what her ex-husband caused. I can only imagine what trouble that's going to cause. I enjoyed reading and couldn't find any way to improve this post.

Thanks, Barbara. I appreciate your continued support. I'm way behind with reviewing at the moment, but hope to get back to your story soon. All good wishes, Tony

This chapter flows well. I didn't find any issues with grammar or spelling. I must say I am much, much more used to the ordinary use of double quotation marks for dialogue and not single ones. With single ones I kept thinking it was a reference back to what they used to say. I had to read the author notes to see what else was going on. It's a great plot! It reminds me of some of the Charlie Chan movies back in the 1930s and 1940s, but with a modern update. Nice post.

Thanks for your review and comments, Crystie. I know what you mean about the quotation marks. However, single ones are the standard in the UK and Australia. They look particularly strange in a sentence like 'I'm from Australia'.

Love and flowers, and love that can conquer mountains, or that what they say. I am curious to see if this is the case. For now, all seems well in that department. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your next chapter.

Thanks, Iza. There are a few impediments to a happy ending at the moment. I'm not yet sure how they (or I) will overcome them. All good wishes, Tony

Absolutely engrossing, Tony!
I have not had the luxury of sitting down and writing reviews of this stellar work, but I have been following.
Today, I have a whole hour to myself, and I enjoyed every line of your exceptionally well-crafted story.
Your ability to create realistic characters, an intriguing plot, and believable dialogue is an absolute treat for me as a reader. What an imagination!
So very much enjoyed!
Thank you for sharing!
And congratulations, again, Tony, on your well-deserved honor of Writer of the Year!

Hmmm. Ayesha seems to have taken charge.
Mr Davidson was not among them. - But he's dead!
$65,000.00 for a peg leg????????????
So did the chapter end with the doctor ordering the fancy prosthesis?
Best wishes.

Thanks for your continuing interest in my story, Wayne, and for your comments. Yes, you're right about that being a huge amount for a peg leg, but I believe the state-the-art product Ayesha has set her mind on would cost somewhere around that. It's not clear at this stage if the doctor has gone ahead and ordered one. All the best, Tony
