I enjoyed listening to your story very much. Retirement for the man usually made some changes. I know when my husband retired we decided to move from the Los Angeles area to los Cruces New Mexico. It was a good move for us and we were able to sell our home and in the Los Angeles area and pay cash for the new home that we had built. I am glad for you that you finally found a place that you enjoy. By the way, the 16% interest is a far cry from what we get today on CDs. The CD right now is running a little less than 5% on a one year commitment. Patricia.

Thank you Patricia. I'm glad you enjoyed listening to my story. The interest rate were great then and we were fortunate they had to pay us that much for ten years. Even now five is better that there were. For a while they were less than 1%. I got 5.45% on one last week.

I have won that is a yearly CD and I am getting 4.65+ interest on it

We lived in an Atlanta suburb for about a year, when my husband was Army. I liked the area, although, I've heard now it's a complete mess. We also spent time visiting Chattanooga on numerous vacations. I enjoyed reading and thank you for sharing this with us.

Thank you for a great review.
I hate driving anywhere near Atlanta. With a wreck on the highway it takes hours to get anywhere. It is much worse now than it was back then. There are some interesting things to see and do around there though. When Evan was in the army he and I hadn't met. I met him right after he got out.
