Absolutely loved the poem. The way you have incorporated all those songs into the rhymes is very clever. You certainly researched your subject and made it really enjoyable.

Frank was certainly one of the best ever! His voice made the ladies swoon and fall in love... unfortunately with him. Every time I tried, I sunk!
New York New York is CB played after ever Yankees game (baseball) in front of 4 million fans annually!
Great post as always, Debbie. I'm amazed how you sprinkle in this song titles through and through.
Enjoy your Sunday.

I remember growing up to Frank Sinatra's music. I doubt anybody of our generation isn't familiar with his songs. Thank you for sharing this post with us and bringing back memories. I'm wondering if now you're going to do Bing Crosby????

Not only was he one of the world's greatest entertainers, but he was also a tremendous human being. He could have just said that there was nothing he could do about the prevailing racial attitudes toward blacks that did much to exclude his friend Sammy Davis Jr. Instead, he used his power as a much sought-after entertainer to force venues to change their racial policies, opening the doors to the inclusion of all people. A move that increased Venus's bottom line. Go figure.

Wonderful, Debbie. I have sung every one of these songs at some time in my career. (That surprised me!) So I am already biased toward loving the poem.
Yes, Old Blue Eyes did it all! He had such a long career - and still sounded great when most of us struggle with our Zimmer frames and ear trumpets!
The king of the 'American Songbook' - he recorded everything worth singing - and often several times over.
So, thanks my old friend JSD, for getting this nice lady to write this homage! Loved it. And, not forgetting the comprehensive notes, of course.

Thank you so much, Paul, for this lovely review and comments, all very gratefully received! I must admit, this one was more than a bit challenging (with all the material) and several times I thought of giving up. John will be fed-up because I couldn't get New York, New York in. Thank you for your support. Hope you're keeping well. And congrats on your duck win (another opportunity to show off your expertise in this genre). Take care Debbie

Not a very good limerick really, but the others were worse! shared with John, whose limerick was too cheeky for me!

He was my favorite for many years. I loved the big band era and hated Rock and Roll for squeezing it out; so I reverted to country music at that time. He did have a wonderful voice and so many popular hits for the times. Well done, Debbie. Nancy:)

Wow what a wonderful, well written poetic tribute to "Ole blue eyes". You have managed to include so many song titles in this poem. What an achievement. Very well done.

You must've been emitting brin waves! I just posted a 2-4-2 poem and attached Frank Sinatra to it, then I got to read this! There goes any hope I'll ever have of immortalizing him in a poem-You did the greatest job anyone can do! By the w3ay, Jim "Trivia King" V. wants you to know that Frank Sinatra was a huge Soupy Sales fan, befriended him on his tv series for aq faceful of pies, and, well, he was responsible for Soupy Sales getting a recording contract. I guess most of the stuff he did was okay.

Wow, thank you so much, Jim! Your very kind review and thoughts are greatly appreciated and mean a lot to me. I've just been Googling Soupy Sales. Perhaps I could do a Frank Sinatra part 2. There's so much material I nearly gave up altogether. Enjoy Thanksgiving and thanks again. Debbie

Aw, you did a marvelous job with Ol' Blue Eyes, my friend. He really has the bluest eyes of the famous people. If he had ran for president, I think he would have won. My favorite from Frank Sinatra: Fly Me to the Moon. In other words, I love his singing.
Sending you my best today as always.
