Yes, I'm sure we've all made mistakes on occasions, a poor judgement on something, a terrible decision, a mistake in paradise, and quite we're feeling confident, but the truth of the matter is God has taken care of it, no matter what, God never wants us to feel hang dog, it never achieves anything, God wants us to treat the next moment as the best thing we've ever done, beautifully written Debi, blessings Roy

I sure do appreciate the very kind review and comments for my poem for the loss of my friend. I need to think of those things that God expects of me a little more, as I do fall short sometimes. Some days are better than others. But one thing I do not do very often is throw pity parties for myself. And if I do, then I usually only invite Jesus, because He will not let me stay long.
Thanks for asking today if I was ok, as I appreciated the opportunity to vent a little and then count some blessings too. Jesus was there too, as it was one of those days. (Today you were at the party with Him and me, but now I am doing much better). Big Smile!!
Regarding the sun-bow, I had never heard of one before Helen told me what they were. Thank you so very much, my very dear friend.

The author's words are well written, heartfelt, descriptive and creative.
As I read these words the emotions described were painful and hard to
let go of. The beauty of a sign from God, I feel, makes one feel all is well. Thank you for the author's notes - the sun-bows were a beautiful sign. The artwork is lovely! Great Poem!

Beautiful poem about such a mix of feelings from the grieving of a friend's homegoing and then the spectacular sight of loving reassurance from God. It's His Light that always shines through the mists of our grief and shows us beauty. Best wishes in the contest!

That was a very sad experience but it became very special because of the sun bow and perhaps Hod did send you this special miracle. Well done - you described your feelings very well throughout. Best wishes for your entry.

Ive.never heard of a Sun-bow so thanks for teaching me something new. It makes sense.
Very effective poem to express your grief transforming with a smile and a sun-bow.
I truly believe when a love one dies God sends some type of sign whether it is a gust of unexpected wind or a Sun-bow.
Best wishes in the contest and
take care!

This poem is beautiful and inspirational. I am sorry for your loss whenever it was. I believe he uses nature and people to encourage us. Your script and words flow elegantly. All the best in the contest.

Rain or Sun, your Bow hit its mark. How often have we wished things had been different when loved ones have passed? But, God knows all and I'm sure your friend knows the ache in your heart. Only concern, and I hate to mention it in this gifted work, is that the second line is not grammatical. It should read something like: "I wish I'd texted her back that day".

So sorry for your loss.
A beautiful poem of feelings for the prompt. God does smile on us and lift our spirits when we most need it. I'm thankful that He showed you this amazing Sun-Bow.
Blessings

I've never heard of a sun bow before! Thank you for sharing. The poem reads and flows well. It is quite lyrical itself. Death tends to provoke the strongest emotions in us. Perhaps that is one reason why the good Word says it is better to go to the house of the mourning than in celebration.

I have never heard of a sun-bow but, from the lovely picture, I would be excited to get to experience such beauty. I do not know if the picture has been photoshopped...if so, someone did a great job.
This is actually an uplifting poem with the writer successfully trying to cope with a great loss. It is never easy to attend a funeral and feel what you do not want to feel. I especially like the concluding line.
Best wishes in the contest with this excellent entry.
