I love the photographs with this one. I also loved the contemplation of your legacy and how you focus on service to others as your true legacy as well as your poetry. Hope all is well.

Thank you, Theo, for the review. Typically, our children are a big part of our legacy, but that will not be in my case.

Although this is not a sonnet it reminds me of one Shakespeare wrote as he reflects on how he will be remembered when he was gone. You are leaving behind a fine legacy Sandra, much enjoyed, fine rhymes and content, love Dolly x

What a great montage of pictures. As they show, you have a legacy to be proud of. You have many achievements to look back on--not only your teaching but your work as a park ranger and soldier. It's great that you keep in touch with your students. Excellent work with your rhyme, and best of luck in the contest. This will surely be in the winners' circle. judi

This poem, In Autumn Years, celebrates all that you have included here in your notes.
Your female students remember that You're Every Woman
as they dance to life's music, knowing the many contributions of females to the American culture.
Dining at the Poets' Cafe, students also feed other minds.
Chat and laughter went a long way to enticing young minds to engage.
A life done well.

Hi Sandra, a 6 star poem for
sure, but I ran out this past
Thursday. I'd say you've been
having a wondrous and
forfilling life. I hope your
Veterans Day was grand.
A wondrous autumnal weekend to you. Blessings ~

Thank you SanKey for your friendly review. Why not type in your search engine for the word Free image of prepackaged/ rerun/ regift/ carbon copy. If you find any of those words in large size print use it as a visual.

Hi Sandra,
This is a well done abab poem that shows you had a good life and that a lot of people will remember you.
The ideas in this poem are what we all think about as we age and get nearer to the end of life.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Joan

-Thanks for sharing the photos and descriptions, Sandra.
-A very nice presentation and well written poem.
-Effective imagery and rhyme.
-A very good opening verse and question.
-The pride you took in teaching
young people comes through very well.
-I was a high school English teacher,
and felt the same way about reaching students
and providing them with challenges.
-This is my favorite line:
"because needed is writing that creates a thinking cry."
-A very good closing verse, as well.
-I enjoyed reading your poem
and like your profile picture, too.
-Have a great day and rest of your weekend.
