I love the thought of conversing without audio - heart to heart with true understanding and no doubt or interpretation. Your title says it all - perhaps the concept of nations will eventually dissipate to the point we act as simple people in the world. The Internet has already started this process, methinks!

Yes, humility before God, on one's knees in prayer, makes an excellent start if a nation desires to be great. The one who desires to be greatest must have humility, and that applies to leaders as well as other individuals.
Well written.

Hello Roy,
Another delightful poem. When I saw the picture and saw the title, my mind immediately thought of the story of the Good Samaritan. We could all stand to have a little more compassion and understanding in this increasingly divided world. Thanks for sharing.
Have a blessed day.

First, I really love how you framed words around the picture. I think you know and understand how the picture reflects our society past when there were those starving in streets in the 1800's. The egalitarian society forged by earnest preachers. Love the Matthew verse too! Perfect. "Cares compassion has no nation to wear its fragrant gown." Exceptional from beginning to end.

Christ is the very essence of compassion in spite of the fact and he wants so badly to show mercy to his children too often his advances are rejected just as they were in Jerusalem. This is beautifully written peom.

I enjoyed this verse exploring the corrupt nature of the monarchy.
I am not sure that was the intention, but that is what I got out of it.
True, the Queen reigned for over 70 years, and fulfilled her duties.
But beyond that, the need for power and wealth effects us all , no matter the continent you live on.
I think you leave a strong message here, thanks for posting.

You are so right my friend. Compassion has no nation, no boundaries. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case. Even in families, in churches, and neighborhoods, it seems to be missing.
Thank you for sharing.

Compassion knows no boundaries and should be practiced by everyone. Unfortunately, in today's world it's rarely seen. I know God isn't happy about that. Thank you for the reminder.
