I am enjoying your new story. The city girl and handsome cowboy stories are always popular. This one seems to have all the making of a city lawyer who fall for the cowboy. I'm wondering what will happened to slow down this possible romance that it seems her hostess is all in favor of.

Rosa has known Ali since she was born and Ali's mom has known Cord since he was born. Now, I can promise a rocky ride. Remember Ali needs to return to New York City, eventually. She's a fancy lawyer. Alpine is a small town.

This is another good chapter, Barbara. I like that Alexandra is starting to loosen up a bit and she and Cordero are getting to know each other. Looking forward to following it.

A couple of things: "As Alexandra and Rosa finished dinner, Jorge and Cordero walked to the kitchen..." - when I first read this I was confused. It sounds like Alexandra and Rosa have eaten dinner. Maybe put in finished "making" dinner?

A couple of typos: "A grinned(grin) crossed Cordero's lips."

"He nodded (in) his mom's direction as he moved closer to Alexandra"

I have made the corrections. Thank you for the help. I'm amazed at how often I edited that and still missed them.

I especially love Cord, and I enjoyed "meeting" the horses. It was a good plan for her not to ride until she knew Dolly. I think I'd like to take a chance with Chip. lol.

Oh, Barbara, I have no sixes left to give to you. This is just up my street. After sailing, horse riding has been my thing up to a few years back. I've owned several horses and competed in dressage. I use to ride an appaloosa in Alaska when I be was on stop over there. He was a great teacher of dressage. Quite unusual for the breed.
A grinned crossed Cordero's lips =A grin crossed ... Ulla:)))

Thank you for the catch. I never understand why or how those errors get made. I know better and I edit a lot. I appreciate the help.

Excellent beginning of the novel. You kept me intrigued throughout the chapter, and you began to fill in the characteristics of the characters. I look forward to following this novel from the beginning, and I will read as much of Football as remains (and maybe more). Well done.

I like the story, of a determined but friendly hero Cordero, who is obviously attracted to Alexandra, his parents, Rosa and Jorge. And the Foreman, Jim, who takes care of things. Alexandra is boarding at the house, and is loved by the dog, Samson, of course, an now the adventure begins. Beautifully written Barbara, blessings Roy
