3-5-3? No, this is 5-3-5 as indeed it should be. The lune is traditionally served up flushed left or right and thus creates a crescent shape on the page, which is how it got its name.
That may be the case for mathematicians, but for me numbers have about as much safety as a BBQ under lockdown

You win the chocolate fish for observation!!
I am a numeric klutz and get brain freeze when I see anything resembling arithmetic, but I decided to feel the fear and do it anyway.
Thanks for telling me about flush left, although how anyone can think 3 lines can make a crescent is a bit of a stretch. I thought it meant one had to be a lunatic to attempt to write one, haha.

One, two, three, four, five
once I caught
a coelacanth live
If you look very carefully the right hand end of the lines form a crescent shape. I'm not quite certain what a numeric klutz is but I believe I am one two so you see it takes one to know one.

Crescent made by negative space is still a funny looking crescent - more lines would create a smoother one.

Klutz. Klutz, a noun, came to English from Yiddish in the late 20th century, and it has origins in the German klotz, which means a wooden block. In English, it refers to (1) a foolishly clumsy person, or (2) a stupid person, especially one who is socially inept. The word is more often used in the first sense.
-
Ah! Thanks for that. Clearly a Yiddish variation on our classic 'thick as two short planks.'
-
we have 'thick as a brick' as well.
-
Hey! Don't shoot the messenger. I didn't design it. Lol.

Hahaha... it was only a rubber bullet.

A great play on words here and statistics can indeed be manipulated to change the outcome in favour of one side, I enjoyed your Lune Lisa, love Dolly x

Thank you! I don't know what possessed me to write about something mathematical - it's not a territory I am comfortable with at all.

Delightfully clever. Witty wordplay from title to final--problems multiply...undivided attention...sum it up...safety in numbers. (Alas, these days, they tell us safety is a single digit--1.) Cheers. LIZ
Back to congrat on your well-deserved prize. Not surprised! Cheers. LIZ

Thank you! I don't know what possessed me to write about something mathematical - it's not a territory I am comfortable with at all... as you know.

Yes--my first reaction was that it was ironic that a number-phobe would use math imagery!

Lol! You're so good in making a play of words - even using numbers! Although, lately with the pandemic, the safety seems to be in being alone. Sigh. I just heard about one infected guy riding one taxi in Korea and the result was 140 people got infected. How can this virus be this contagious???
Oh, but back to your poem. There are other cases, where there IS safety being together...

There will probably be a whole lot of new sayings come into use with this change to our society.
Thanks for reviewing.
