What an AWESOME title--so perfect for this wonderfully written chapter. I enjoyed your collaborative efforts, Cathy and Bill. The POV of each is expressed in a true way; yet, both flow effortlessly together to entertain the audience.
The information provided before the chapter begins is always a great way to possibly introduce yourselves to new readers; or, reinforce it to returning readers. The 'previously' is a great recap of the last chapter to have everyone on the same page when reading this one. The book cover design is outstanding. Also, it is evident that much research went into this chapter. The videos at the end were pertinent to the chapter and enjoyable and/or informational. I liked how each one related th the events of this chapter in a special way.
Cathy's premonition as the opening line set the stage for an exciting, though tense, read. The details of the premonition were exceptionally conveyed in the writing. I could 'see' everything written from the parachuting out of the plane to the eventual injury Bill sustained. Even in pain, Bill thinks of Cathy and the baby first.
The nightmare is well-depicted. Also, its aftermath was real. I could feel the emotion Cathy experienced as a result of it. Grandpa's knock on her door brought us back to real time. Grandma's breakfast sounded delicious. When Cathy discussed the baby's kicks, the dialogue exchange was great. What a joy they all had feeling the kicks. I liked the banter between Grandpa and Grandma.
Cathy's love poem to Bill was heartfelt and perfect to accompany this chapter. The lines read well with great and true emotion, imagery, rhymes, and overall excellence. The reference to "you Really Got Me' by the Kinks was a great song of the times and perfect for Cathy and Bill. Grandpa's take on rock and roll was funny. I liked his reply. My mother liked to listen to Jim Reeves. I believe she shared that he was called "Gentleman Jim,"
The ending was particularly intense. To receive a call from the Red Cross would have been so devastating not knowing the outcome as you used that to entice readers to return to learn. I can hardly wait for the next chapter.
Thanks for sharing, Cathy and Bill.

We need another miracle and let Billy live. Cathy needs him. She's not strong enough to do this by herself. Not even with Grandma and Grandpa helping her. Please another miracle!!!!!

That Kinks song was one of my favorites. Are you a 60's teen? You did a great job as always and I am certainly enjoying your story. I did not see any errors. Take care and stay safe. Shirley

Hi Shirley, Not a 60's teen but I have a sister 11 years older. I listened to all of her records. The best music! Bill knows all sorts of music, too, and has even gotten me into enjoying country music. That's not something I heard too much of growing up in NH. So glad you enjoyed the story. Thank you so much for reading it. We really appreciate your continued support. Chapter 27 is coming very soon. Stay tuned! Take care and stay safe, too! God Bless.

This is such a lovely love and romantic chapter. During that time so many girls were waiting, hoping, and praying for their men to come safely home. Heart wrenching.
I listen to Jim Reeves all the time. He was a Christian of the Church of Christ.

Hello, again,
I really, really enjoyed this chapter. I know we've talked about the brand you two are creating, but in this chapter, y'all dropped that screen enough to expose the real heart of the characters in this story. They SHiNED through like diamonds.
There was enough mountain stuff to still meet the style, but enough heart and soul to seem REAL beyond real. Jumping off the page and into bodies. Kudos.
Only one note/q:
--> Listen to some good (music), like Jim Reeves,'
Thank you!

Reading this chapter it reminded me about my virtual relationship with my husband via e-mails, letters and messenger chats. We were in the same situation as your Cathy and Bill. Let's hope everything will end well for the sake of the baby.

No problem about length; I find this historic romantic, family fiction is a nice work, indeed, taletelling is passionate and psychologically realistic in expression, tragic and disastrous facts are important part to appreciate the thematic maturation; well done, well said with a curious ending.
