Many of your stories are based partially on fact. I;m curious if Jim's wife really died. As usual I see your work as written by a terrific writer. In your two act plays you often know a lot about what the first narrator would say and then you channel the second one. You claim to be an atheist but seem to deal with this subject often. I find that odd. Maybe you're an agnostic?

Hi Beth. Jim is based on my Best Man, a Christian widower, but Diana is based on me. Chuck intends to convert me on my deathbed--to which I responded--how will you know whether it was genuine or just to comfort you. Indeed I deal with the subject often; I am tormented by the prospect that God exists given I consider him to be monstrous. (As you read a few weeks ago in my two-part piece headed by a WARNING WRIT LARGE.) Cheers. LIZ

I like this post because it shows you are thinking.
I do not believe that consciousness is snuffed out at death. The soul lives on with all the knowledge we gained before death. No one will be in the least concerned with others after death because the main focus will be on Jesus.
The light some people see is Jesus because He is the light. Hell is darkness because Jesus is not there.
Some day I may write about an operation I had where I suppose I died. I had an out of body experience, saw the bright light at the end, and was at utter peace...

Sooooo.... is there a third act? A way to look into one or the other's next steps...? A very interesting he said/she said presentation, LIZ -- thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette

Thanks Yvette. Regarding a third act? Depends on whether Jesus wants to step up to the plate. Cheers. LIZ

Yeah, well it seems like Jim was justified in questioning Diana's sincerity, as for Diana she might have fooled Jim (kind of) but not Jesus.
Great story told by two perspectives. This was a very engaging story.

You got that right, Gideon. Perhaps there will be a third act if Jesus decides to make an appearance. Cheers. LIZ
