Perfect. You hit all the marks and yes I agree bats are a formidable weapon. This is very well done and thought through. Good luck!

Thank you, Raffaelina. A shrill operatic scream, though, is the perfect weapon against them because it makes them lose their sonar. But, sadly, then it makes them scrabble around, all disoriented, on the floor, and that's a WAY more traumatic form of bat!!

This speaks a high-flying bat is proud and confident of its screaming that can ruin a floor bat's sonar; well said, well done. Keep Writing Inspire Changing Write for Years! -- DR ALCREATOR

The screaming opera singer was the one who ruined the bat's sonar, and it made him flail around, all kinds of disoriented, on the floor. It was the scariest moment of my life - no close seconds!
Thank you for your review, Alcreator Litt Dear.

And maybe ping pong bats would be bad too. Floor bats? I was thinking of bats in the attic made of fiber glass...itchy. Baseball bats..are weapons at times...
Bats of butter...wait that's pats.
God bless

Hahahaha. Jenny, you're a riot.
This actually happened to me, and I'm telling you: as scary as bats are when they're sailing around the ceiling of your kitchen (I grew up in a 175-year old farm house), when you ruin their sonar and they are scrabbling around, all but cross-eyed on the floor, they are a hundred times more horrifying!

My daughter in Cambodia had a bat fly in while she was in the shower...she screamed and ran out ...I tried to say to her frazzled self...the do kill insects.. she screamed back..ITS A FRUIT BAT

Comment from Pam (respa)
-The image is impressive,
being a bat!
-The syllable count is good.
-I like how the title
fits in with the poem.
-The image of "scream" is effective.
-You give the result in line two.
-The last line puts a twist
in the poem, like an aside in a play.
-Good luck in the contest.

Thank you very much, Pam. I'm glad you liked this. At least SOMETHING good came out of that horrifying experience! (now decades-old, but every bit as vivid in my memory as the night it happened!)
-
You are very welcome. It will be interesting to see who you are!
-
I'm someone you know well!
-
I am not going to guess, as I have no clue!
-
P.S. It sounds like "What's My Line?" Am I showing my age, or do you remember that show?!
-
Yes to both...which means you're also showing MY age. (thanks tons, Buddy...)
-
You are very welcome-see you in the voting booth, Buddy.🙂

This was really a great read. And funny as well. I've always wondered if a human's voice can affect animals in that way. I wonder if you could have been a cowperson in a past life and helped round up and tame wild horses that way. Good job.
