Hi, Lo. I don't believe I knew you were an artist too. This art work with the post is signed Lois. ?? That's you, right? LOL Good work. I like it.
Now as for the posting: The entire piece is like watching a train wreck. Yikes! Reading it, I no sooner digested one horrible incident in your life then you told us another. Wow! It reads like a soap opera.
I was surprised by the ending. You are a very strong woman. Bless you, my friend.
You definitely have the makings here for a complete novel were you to handle it right.
Good luck with the contest. Bob

Thank you, friend Bob. I appreciate your words so very much. My way of writing this was hard for some to understand. I appreciate that. Sometimes words will only form in their order that seems so mixed up. They are mixed up.
Blessings, Lo

What a very passionate story and descriptive. I think if you go back and slowly read it you will find ways to clean it up, perhaps adding more details in places and remove details in places. Your story is very strong and powerful well done.

This is about as heartbreaking as it gets. I'm sure it was therapeutic for you to tell your story, and I do hope it helps someone else to stop following this downward path before things get this bad. Peace to you.

I am giving you six for the content of it. It is truly very moving and requires enormous strength, both mental and physical, to handle it.
It is the most engaging story.
All the best.

You did the best with what you were given. What an understatement! What a touching story. So much pain and hurt, for all of you. Mental illness is still stigmatized, often unrecognized or acknowledged. I hope someday that will change, so it makes it easier for people to get treatment, and for families to understand that there's no one to blame, it just is. How hurtful it must have been to be accused of abuse, when you'd been such a diligent and sacrificing caregiver. And then to have to watch as someone took advantage of her. I gave this 6 stars because this is a brave story, one of sadness, but also one of hope and forgiveness. All the best. Ann Marie

Hello, gosh, you have been through the mill. I am so sorry that life's dished you out a really bad time of it. It makes no sense sometimes, life. It's random unfairness being one of its truly fair things, ironically.
You are an incredible mother to your children. Wonderful, I know you were writing about your lovely daughter and her sad journey, but what hit me between the eyes is your devotion to your family through it all, and I'm so glad you've persevered and have found yourself in a better place today, making peach pies, which is really lovely to read. And it gives this a beautiful redemptive ending for the reader, even though the overall tone of the work is very sad, you lend it dignity and write so sensitively. You have a very moving story here.
Blessings and the only thing I noticed for improvement is below, but it 's minor and if I had seven stars they'd be all yours Loannalois. Ana.
'...The charcoal that helped pump her stomach covered me...'
(I tell most people to cut down on their descriptions and excess words that make prose clunky, but in your case, I would suggest you explain the above sentence more, it's a curiosity that you could expand further on, and it would be interesting to the reader in the context of this narrative.
