I love the unique approach here where you described your experience with an expressively poetic approach.
"A lioness leaps into a clearing, snagging a gazelle before disappearing."
This phrase pretty much summed up the feel of your piece. You provided the reader with an experience only a few can ever witness first hand in a lifetime. This truly brought the reader to a new world. Well done!

Hello Diana,
This is quite a poetic journey through Nairobi and the safari
where life is on the edge always
It's a good thing Jalali was there or you might not
have never come home again to tell the story
and an impressive story it is
Should do well in the contest
Best wishes to you, my friend

-Very nice artwork and presentation.
-Thanks for sharing the author
notes and your experience.
-You give a vivid picture of
your day to day adventure.
-I can't imagine seeing all of
this in person; although, the
reality of the kills, etc. would
be hard to take.
-But the beauty had to be wonderful.
-I like the line
"The circle of life's revealed itself to me in this ethereal place."
-Good luck in the contest, diana.

Hi Pam:
I feel the same about what seems like a brutal experience. I can't watch the show on TV that set me up for trauma... oddly enough when I was there I took on a different understanding of life in action. If you think about it humans are animals of prey an it is tragic. That said... I completely agree. Thanks so much Pam. Yours, Diana

African animals and scenery are terrific so much to see and do you can spend a lifetime observing the wildlife. death of animals in the wild is inevitable.

A unique and clever write filled with African influences and once a journey has begun, there is no turning back, many of these animals are teetering on the edge of extinction. This could be the last journey for many, poignant words, love Dolly x

I had a somewhat similar experiences (with different animals, of course) on a camera safari in India and in Yala National park in Sri Lanka. Your poem is so well written that I was completely transferred to the place. The rhyme and the rhythm are well executed. I hope it does well in the contest as a biographical story.
