I really liked this for several reasons Christine. Oh and by the way I have actually read 'The Man from Snowy River' (smile). Any way, it was comfortable reading, it had a unique rhyme pattern, it acknowledged the difficulties of a month long commitment, it acknowledged the other contestants and wished them well and thanked them for their persistence. You forgot no one and that makes this special. Thank you for sharing, And for all your work- Good luck. Well done.

Hi Ary, Thank you so much I am thrilled thos gained a six and I love thos meter and style. The Man From Snowy Rover is such a terrific poem filled with suspense and brilliant Story telling and Banjo is an icon in Australian poetry along with Henry Lawson . I have enjoyed my month long effort and to think I had no idea what ai was going to wrote on April 1st don't think I have done too badly Again you make my day Cheers and hugs and big smiles Christine

Hi Chrissy, Well done - you kept going and produced some very good poetry. You did not skimp, and deliver short, mediocre pieces just to get through the month. I enjoyed reading your work and I can see why your muse is a little tired LOL. Once a week you will find a 'piece a cake' after this month's trial. Enjoyed your final one, and look forward to seeing you on FS once a week. Warm regards Dorothy xx

Hi Christine. Your poem encapsulated the challenge and excitement of the yearly challenge. This stanza, in particular, sums it up:
"I love a challenge any time
Contests that make me think,
perhaps I'll pit my brain against the best.
To then come up with many words, just free or with good rhyme
win or lose to play the game's the test."
Great job. Marilyn

Hi Chrissy,
It's amazing how fast this challenge went by. It feels good to have successfully finished. I really enjoyed this poem of yours today :) I love learning about historical poets. I love that you loosely followed his meter and style. This was almost a six star poem for me.
- "and then have (other's) read" - others
- "win or lose to play the (games) the test" - game's
- "My (purse string) also (need) a tug..." - needs and/or purse strings?
- "...to other (poet) here" - poets
Sincerely Joy xx

Christine--I am SO jealous! You made it! I can't post any more today (I'm limited to 2 per day, Fanstory rules), so I won't be able to complet the challenge. You did! And you survived! And thrived! Well done! And I hope to hear more from you when the dust settles and you can freshen up that amazing brain of yours!

Loved it and agree, promoting is not cheap but the challenges Fanstroy gives makes it intriguing.
You words rhymed well and within a story shared and found it just great.
