Great imagery here! This Is a relaxing read, that will comfort readers while reading it. The one thing I recommend Is toning down the bold, the size and the font of the words. Thank you!

I see this, obviously, as extremely creative and intelligent. It doesn't flow in my brain as easily as lighter fare, but I recognize it is exceptional talent. The play of words is clever, but puzzles me until I read it, and then read it again. Nevertheless, absorbing the story in the end solves the mystery and brings a smile. sherry

I enjoyed your memories being reflected in this writing. It reminded me of the bond I had with my dog and cats growing up. I grew up in the country and animals, nature, family and food was the fiber of our quilt. Several lines were so touching.
One of my favorite
"Elders that supplied waiting dinner table,
young then neither them now is capable,
able energy either by venture explore."
I look forward to more of your postings.

I really enjoyed reading this. I could picture the man and dog asleep on the porch. I can also see why it was recognized. This flows very well. There is nothing I can see that needs to be changed. Very well written, good work. Keep writing.

Hi there,
Thank you for sharing this interesting look and perspective on the change over time. Yes, at one time the domestic dog at our side was a feared foe.
We still have wolves and coyotes, but the domestic dog favors being with and protecting his human.
Thank you for sharing,

Wonderful sentiment. I'm easily relating. I visualize my old puppy sleeping next to me, I'm an old man, on the couch and the comfort we both feel being close to each other. Well done.

Wow - what a heartwarming and moving piece ... it truly brings to clear visual the two of them in fantasy and in reality...shared between them! :) :) Would that we all had such a companion! :) Yvette :)

A lovely use of words. They roll off the tongue nicely and your work is structured well. I particularly enjoyed your final verse. It sounds like my husband and our dog. PM
