Yes, I think we all have a little "victim" complex. Conspiracies in dark, dank places, with faceless men and women, clandestinely plotting our downfall. But reason always gets to me, why or what would anyone be interested in a boring and generally harmless person like me? Then, paranoia dissipates. Heh heh. Well done Sasha, blessings, Roy

A humorous and well written little story. Easy to follow along.
Well done. I'm glad your mystery was solved. And don't worry, I won't tell anyone either.

Thanks for keeping my secret.

LOL! Are you sure there isn't a ghost in your purse disguising itself as a bottle of vitamins? You have some "interesting" experiences. :)

Ha ha - I could just imagine you walking backwards and all the time the noise was behind you - it's all right, Sasha, we all do mad things at times and let our imagination run away with us - you're not alone - although you were then -
Smile,
Margaret

Thanks. Glad you got a kick out of this. I felt silly but laughed about it all day.

I don't believe in ghosts either.
But the end of your post made me roar, especially because I'd thought it probably would be your flipflops!
When I arrived at my apartment, I reached into my purse to retrieve my keys. While rummaging inside my purse I felt the box of vitamins I had stopped to purchase at the pharmacy across from the restaurant where I had eaten my breakfast. Feeling a bit foolish, I realized the chicka-chicka-chicka-chicka-chee sound were the vitamins rattling inside the bottle with each step I took. I won't tell anyone if you don't.
Hilarious!

I felt a little silly, but I ended up laughing about it all day.

I couldn't wait to hear what the noise was. At first I thought it might be your flip flops. That is funny. By the way, I do believe in ghosts or spirits, I should say.
Have a lovely day

Oh, my. I know I shouldn't laugh at you; it was an honest mistake. But... Thank you for sharing this. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who has really weird experiences,

Hello,
Well, I for one do believe in spirits. When my brother died, I didn't know it right away for a couple of months -- dysfunctional families, he was adopted -- they were as crazy as my family -- but those two months I kept thinking about calling him. When I finally discovered his obit, I went for a long walk in the woods to think about him. I finally came back to feel someone behind me, I turned, and there was a shadow that quickly disappeared. I know it was him. It was his spirit at least to see if loved ones are okay.
I have done that too, with tic-tacs. :P

I don't believe in ghosts but I do believe in spirits. My mother came to visit me a few days after she died. She wanted to reassure me that she was fine and that I would be fine too.

Hi Sasha,
Sounds like a mystery to me all right. I thoughts it was going to be the flip-flops scratching along myself. lol
Nice.

Being frightened by a box of vitamins is embarrassing but I did laugh about it all day.

Good morning, Sasha
That's a good one. The image of you walking down the street and hearing that noise yet cannot locate its source, especially turning around to find it. I enjoyed the read.
Take care and stay safe,
Ray
