This is a great poem and a fitting poem for your son. Your child has gone to a better place and now sees your story of love. Good for you. Keep writing.

I have a whole book written with fine poetry in his name.
Thanks Thomas, an honor, and this is just another...

A wonderful poem encouraging people to donate their organs. I signed up at the age of thirty--just in case. Now, at seventy-five, I'm sure my parts are too worn out to be donated. It was my fond hope to help someone to live longer.

I think that your son would be very proud of how you are promoting and, I'm sure, advancing the option of organ donation throughout the sphere of influence that you reach.

Hi Ricky - I was going to only read one more post before calling it a night. I started yours, and my feeling was, hey just stop. Why go to bed on a sad note. I pressed on, and it wasn't sad at all. A nice post and message. Bill

Rick, I love the prose poem you wrote and included here; I'm not surprised it won a trophy - it's beautiful sentiment, and well-expressed. But even more than any of the other things of yours I've read, I think this is the most poignant, the most touching. To 'speak' in the voice of your son from Heaven - wow. And not only that, once again you have ensured that there is a most worthy message about organ donation included.
Kudos, my friend. God bless.

This is sad, yet so loving and full of hope. I really am sorry for your loss, Ricky, but I'm sure we will meet up again, at least I'm very hopeful we will. I enjoyed your writing style, is has so much depth in it. Well done, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

This had an interesting format, with all these cut outs of conversations and dialogue, and the effect was an abstract expressionist sense of God's sacrifice that was a little difficult to connect to. I think it was just a bit too disjointed and it was at times hard to figure out what you were trying to say. I think this format is worth exploring, I like the effect, overall, but you need to string these thoughts a little more together to make it work successfully estory

Hi Ricky. It was a heartfelt write and I do understand how you mourn your tragic loss. I am so sorry.
All I want to say is that this write belongs under poems rather than prose.
Very well written though. All the best. Ulla:))
