The story is moving along nicely. You are doing a great job with it. The dialogue seems natural.
There's much deep seated animosity in this family.
Looking forward to reading more.

Hi Marv; thank you so much for reading this crazy saga. Part three is now available and I will conclude it with Part Four at the end of the week,

I'm sure her children will be happy that their inheritance is spent on a trip none of them want to make.
They were the most toxic people on earth. Their actions and words had almost killed Kathy, and he would never let them back in.
(So far it sounds like the apple didn't fall far from the Mommy Tree)
hugs Heidi

It is interesting to me in so far as it emphasizes the strangeness that surround death and funerals. What it is that people are called upon to do at last rites and memorials may be far from what they had supposed. This leaves the plot open to all kinds of details that tell about the deceased.

Very good! You developed the background of the characters and their dislike for one another very well. The phone call from Doug to Sylvia really showed the bad feelings and built up anger. Loved the last line. Way to leave us hanging

I think you are building on the suspense here pretty well, and we can't wait to see how this turns out. You created a lot of animosity between the families, a lot of bitterness, but also a chance that there might be some kind of reconciliation. or maybe they are just interested in seeing how much money they are going to get. we await your next installment.... estory

Thanks for sharing this, Mustangpatty1029.
I can only imagine what it would be like having to make the necessary calls and contacts need to arrange something like this. I also can easy visual the verbal abuse.
It will be interesting to see what else occurred. JW

I am really enjoying this story. I get the feeling that Doug might have wanted to help with more than the phone calls.
Great depiction of the acrimony that usually accompanies almost every family event.
Hope you have a great holiday

Hi Freda; thank you for reading along with this story. I've decided to take my laptop with me to the kids house. I usually wake up way before everyone else anyway - so I will write and check in on you guys,
I'm glad you like the way I'm depicting this - I'm trying to make it as realistic as possible without going 'over the top.

The length of this was no problem for me, I was too engrossed in the story.
Poor Doug. He must have the patience of a park bench - I'd have cut that
Sylvia off a lot sooner.
Somehow, I find it hard to believe that Kathy would have things arranged for
"next Saturday" without knowing how many of this rather "unreliable" family
would actually and accept. But you probably have your reasons for that.
Excellent, and look forward to the next.
Cheers,

Hi Aki; thank you so much for reading this next part of the story. I'm so glad that you are enjoying it and find it an interesting read. Since I like the way you weave a tale, it is important to me that you see the value in my writing.
The next part will be at the Memorial service and dinner - I think you will like the upcoming surprises!

Your fiction is coming up very well.. It held all my interest right through and I'm wondering what could have been the other reasons apart from love behind the choice made by the deceased. Very interesting. Looking forward to read the next part.. Enjoy your trip!
