Hi Mary, What a clever Tanka and your words are very true, it is how we develop our wisdom along the way that counts, some do some don't. I like your words and they all make for a good read and food for thought. A wise Tanka Mary well done
Cheers Christine

Nicely done Tanka poem. I agree with the sentiment expressed within it. Listen to our inner wisdom, our true self, perhaps our God connection, and we will be strengthened.
"from our blueprint to evolve"
Yes, evolve or devolve we will, depending on our choices.
Well done. :)

Hi friend , wisdom is very hard to achieve, it passes all the frail knowedge that we pick about, for these only come to be soon forgotten bt wisdom come from within as you mention comes to stay and uplifts the recipient.

This meets the syllabic requirements of the tanka style. Checking on the contest rules they appear to highlight of the least importsant aspect, the syllabic structure and ignore entirely the more important pivoting aspect of the middle line. Oh well they call the shots and you dance to that tune. the stars awarded are for compliance with the contest regulations. Good luck.

Hi I am sorry my tanks did not come up to your standards. I agree with you that they call the shots and we dance to the tune, especially wen we are confined to syllable count.
Thanks for the review
Mary

Man can be stronger if during the gestation period of a baby in the womb is guided properly, prepared with inner wisdom; truly stated human nature in evolvement; philosophical tuning properly embodied, I liked.

A great contest entry with a good message. You should do well. It amazes me that embryos start out looking so much alike. Maybe there's a message here.

This is a lovely tanka describing our evolution from a tiny cell to the mass of cells that fill us. I love the artwork you chose - the blue color goes well with the message of your poem,

I guess we won't agree on where wisdom comes from, in a world that decidedly lacks it, yet still has a knowledge of right or wrong, it speaks of two natures, the divine and the worldly, the spirit and the flesh, infinity and terminal, a never ending universe, or one with walls. (What's on the other side?) it speaks of unlimited or limited, depending on one's "wisdom", but then, how can we know? Beautifully written, Mary, thought provoking and well presented, well done, blessings, Roy
