Your mom sounds like a great cook! Although, I'm not a corned beef and cabbage fan, you brought the process of cooking it through well.

I can smell the pot slowly cooking the corn beef and cabbage, right now. You brought the cooking process through beautifully. The labor of love your mother put forth. I'm coming to eat at your house. One thing, you need a paragraph break at the dish of spicy mustard. I wish I had a six for you. Have a great day and God bless.

Everyone wants to be Irish on Saint Patrick's Day. It is the fashionable thing to do.
As for corned beef and cabbage, no thanks. There are other ways to celebrate.
Seems you rather enjoy the meal, and the time well spent with the family, on that day.

I try to eat corn beef and cabbage when it is on sale. Last year, corned beef was so expensive, so we had to skip it. One question for you only a four pack of Guinness?
' Our daughter, who lives in Maryland makes a special trip to visit us when it just so happens corned beef and cabbage is on the menu.' You have a non-essential (also known as subordinate clause) who lives in Maryland needs commas before and after.
Take care,
Russell

Thank you Russell. I'll make note of that going forward and make the change here.
I get the 4-pack. I don't like them hanging around to long.
Thanks again. John

Hello, Author,
Well, you have succeeded in making me VERY hungry...corned beef being one of my favorite meals. I appreciate, (or will after I eat something:), the detail you brought to the page of this feast. In fact I could smell the meals scent wafting through my memory...ahhhh!
I also enjoyed your last paragraph describing how you have passed this time of year on to your children.
I loved taking this trip with you down memory lane; it was a lip smacker, my friend...well done!
Hope all is well with you,
Bill

This sounds delicious and I thank you for sharing your writing as I'm sure I shall make use of this recipe soon. Strangely I have just baked a corned beef, onion and potato pie that we have fairly often. Some of my own favourite memories involve food too. A tasty trip down memory lane that will feed generations to come. Kindest regards Helen
