Doggone it, Shari ... whatcha doing to yourself?I loved the play-by-play manner in which you presented this chapter. It reads smoothly and orderly and leaves a sense of anticipation after almost every sentence. I can only imagine how painful that must have been and how inconvenient it has been since, with the slow moving and no fast turning.

I'm glad you're doing okay now, but know how your heart must breal for Frank's demise since then.

You looked good in the hospital picture, in spite of that shiner and your general bah! And Di and I both think you;re still an attractive lady.

Wishing you well and thanking you for another great read! Hugs ...

What a sweet thing to say. That's some shiner, hey? Thanks for pointing out the skills you admire. :-)

....Next time this happens just shoot me....(I chuckled at this). This is so much mentally and physically. Good grief. Your femur bone...ouch! Ouch! A well told reflection of what you've gone through. Very emotional and tragic. I enjoyed the care you and your husband have for one another.

Thanks so much for the wonderful review. I have a six inch line on the side of my hip where the doctor cut. My war wound. Too bad it's straight and not a smiley face.)
Appreciate the six and your comments as to how this affected you.

Smart move getting a bobtail cat. I think pets are just so comforting to have around and it's a shame when people can't have them any more. I still have yet to understand why cats like standing right behind a person's legs when they're working. Awwwww, and now she's dead. Yeeeeesh.

Oh, now Rosie comes around yay~!!

Yeesh what an ordeal, Shari. Holy crow that osteoporosis is nasty business. That is combination with balance problems and wow.

Very well written chapter and a most interesting story. I agree with the doctor though, you look very pretty even with the black eye. Ughhhh.

LOL. Thanks, Gloria. Wait until you hear what I did the first day I could get out of bed at the rehab section of the nursing home.
I love Rosie, but Mooshie was special. Believe it or not, she connected with me after she passed over. Woke me early the next morning with a loud meow. She knew I had to catch a plane to Paris.

What an ordeal you and Frank went through. Very well-told and entertaining. I have a hunch you posted this too soon without editing. Most of the errors you made were oversights, I know. I didn't downgrade your rating because of how long it took me to read this AFTER I downloaded it. I apologize for pointing out things I'm sure you've already fixed.

Thanks, Jay. I work on these until one A.M. and want to get it on before morning since it's five in the afternoon before I get back on. Appreciate that you didn't downgrade. Yes, as soon as I get on, I start editing based on the reviews. Hopefully, I have them all.

A story that is well written and holds your attention. I would like to think this is fiction, but I think this did happen. I will try to follow your continued story.

I wish it were fiction. It's amazing how a fall at my age can affect your mobility. Still, it could have been much worse. I appreciate your hanging in there, Kaydoe.

Osteoporosis is truly a 'bitch'. I learned recently that I have a severe case...explains all my broken bones and possibly why my ribs refuse to heal. I hope you haven't fallen since and experienced more broken bones. You really must have hit your head very hard to have knocked you out and then to black out several more times. Excellent work with this one. I agree with you about self-fulling prophecies and have proven it a couple of times myself.

Thanks, Sasha. I know if I fall again, I could end up in a wheel chair. I expect you're right about your ribs refusing to heal.

Hi, Shari.
What a horrible ordeal you underwent. You described the scene as if it just happened, with such clarity. Losing balance is scary, especially when there is such a risk factor as you mentioned. Not only have you shared the experience so well, but that of the cats. I know my dog is always underfoot, and oftentimes, I've tripped over him. Even through all you've gone through, you still share such humour, and this is reflected in your last line. I hope you've been able to regain full mobility.
Bye, my friend.
Hugs
Rosalyne :)

Thanks so much for the exceptional rating and the comments on my writing skills. I can't walk that fast anymore and have a slight limp. Another fall would do me in, I'm sure. I meant that last line.

Ouch! You are still active which is great. Not easy, but you have such a wonderful attitude!:)

This is excellent. You bring in some fascinating things that everyone can relate to. I can relate to the lack of balance. Recently, I've had feelings of dizziness when I turn over in bed, and I felt really unsteady on my feet when I was reading some poems at our poetry night. I felt so unstable, but I managed to stay on my feet. My aunt worried about her niece's kitten, fearing it would get underfoot and cause her to fall. I don't know how long I'll have my sweetie, Tippi, but I'd definitely get another cat when the time comes. Not a kitten, though. Trying to play handyman isn't a good idea, either. It makes sense to have someone else tackle those chores. Frank was a trouper, coming to see you in the hospital every day. It looks like you had quite a fall. It seems that you were able to find some humor in your hospitalization, as you usually do.

Thank you, judi for the six and for sharing your story with me. I understand about kittens. They want to play. Rosie sleeps most of the time. I hope she goes before we do. I'd hate to have her put back in a shelter.
Yeap, our neighbors bawled hubby out for trying to put in those lights. Rich is taller and six years younger. He told us to call him over next time. But Frank is so stubborn and wants to keep the image of helping out.

1.) a cat after I turned sixty. How easy it would (be) to trip over a tail as my

2.) you can stay for at least another week. (A physical) therapist will work with you an hour each day.

And THEN they are punishing you by teaching you HOW TO VACUUM??? That is over and above, lady! --snicker--snicker--

I read this with my heart in my throat, Shari. So glad you're okay!

    Thanks for catching my lulus.
    LOL.
More later about the vacuum bit.

Trust me, my heart was in my throat too!

Thanks for the humorous feedback. I'm okay but can't walk fast anymore and have a slight limp. Sigh.

Ouch! This reminds me of the time I did a superman fly off the front porch. I still feel the flight in slow motion. Don't remember landing, but my neighbor was looking at me when I woke up. Not as serious injuries as yours, but I hobbled on my bad leg for a long time afterwards.

Looking forward to reading this continued story.

A few slight nits I noticed:

- "How easy it would (be) to trip over a tail". - I think "be" should be added.

- " she was horrified the men had moved me (at) all." - I think "at" should be added in there.

- "(ahysical) therapist will work with youan hour each day." - should this be "A physical"? "hysterical" wouldn't work lol!

Thanks, Joy, for that hilarious last line. Fixed all nits, thank you. Yeap, I'm still limping and forget about jogging. Good to see a new name on here. :-)
