We have His promise that He will be with us always and see us through our troubles. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

our mind is our own sculpture. what we see in life is a belief. our belief is our own faith. our belief is our own sculpture. what we see in jesus is a sculpture of belief. without jesus there are no prayers, without jesus there are no sculpture, and without jesus there are no belief. your poem was well express and presented. i enjoyed n reading your poem. thanks for the read. "your so vein" means mood or humor.

'Oh, my Father, please forgive them,
for they know not what they do.'
When someone gives you that much love,
can you doubt he'll see you through?

Just a lovely, lovely poem, Debi. I found your words most inspiring. You really should consider putting together these faith-filled poems for publication, that is if you haven't already.

Have a great week!

:) Bev

    Hi Bev,
Thank you for the great review. No, I haven't thought about putting them in a book. That whole publishing thing just seems so overwhelming. But ai do apprecaite you saying that. Thank you!

Always when I am struggeling with fear or uncertainty I feel so alone but then I remember Him and His promise that he will be with me always. And I remember the sacrifice he made for me. This is a great poem Debi. Nancy

Debi,

You have written a superb Christ centered quatrain here. Perfect flow and strong rhymes with an even stronger message. I like your interjection of the question:
"Do you know what you are worth?"

and...ending with scripture...some of Christ's last words.

Linda

Well, we certainly shouldn't doubt He'll see us through, Debi. But, unlike Christ, we are merely mortals and all too aware of our sins, our flaws, and our troubles, I fear.

Beautifully rhymed, with a soft, subtle rhythm that nearly lulls you to sleep while reading. It speaks to the Biblical passage, found in the Book of Matthew, 19:26...

"But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."

Nicely done!

Always with respect

~Dean

Excellent maintenance of the selected meter and abcb rhyme scheme throughout. This is a well constructed poem. The construction and use of the trochee reminds me of Longfellow's Hiawatha.

Thank you for the excellent review.
Longfellow's Hiawatha was indeed in trochee meter. Only he was much better at it and did not use any rhymes. Thank you for the great review!

Hi Debi. It's my pleasure to rate a sixer on this wonderful poem of love, faith, and encouragement. Content, presentation, rhyming and skill are self evident. Lovely. Marilyn

Hi Debi ! Haven't seen you for a while. Hope you are well.

The title of your poem caught my attention. I had visions of a poem about death. Yes, Jesus went through more than I could ever imagine. I have his sacrifice to be thankful for. Makes my own troubles seem insignificant. Thank you for reminding me about that. I'll take my troubles to him and let him comfort me. I'm reading this on a Sunday. How appropriate :)

    Hi Joy,

Thank you for the wonderful six stars! It really brightened my day!

I have been buried in work lately and only get to the site once in a while.

Thank you for the delightful review.
The title is part of series I am working on, and I can see how you could draw the conclusion that it might be about death. The famous line in Psalms is "through the valley of the shadow of death".
Yes, Christ did so much for us. Sometimes it is easy to get caught up in the day-to-day stuff and forget what is important. I have to take a step back and realize this. I appreciate the insights and the faith you share. God bless.

Hi friend I would certainly not doubt.
This is our bane. We doubt the hands that help us. Sometimes i really think of what is happening to Christianity,...churches are close, used to gamble, the same that Christ warred against ,
sold to developers, rented.
It is sad , heartbroken.
God bless you.
Ps i wont be writing for a while. I am a bit fed up with this web.
Benny Beeharry.
