Sounds like the dog awakens to the cat teasing the dog with all her toys she gets to play with getting ready to pounce on him at a moments notice with her claws drawn.

As always you have set the reader a challenge, the use of words and language in this work is excellent, it does take a few reads to catch it all, but once the reader understands (or thinks they do) it is a wonderful story of the assent of females(I think) this is my view and I thoroughly enjoyed it****kahpot

I wonder is it necessary to align views with the writer, detailing all their delights in the read, thinking better to explore a write meaning to oneself and what you might obtain from its written account. A very well-written poem about animal love. Our cat and a puppy we had a few years ago had such a special relationship. They were always together when you see the one the other one will soon come around the corner.
