Interesting piece. Did Bev really murder Bobby or is Dee just as crazy as she sounds? Jerry Lewis? Wow. I wonder how she got that job... do you know? At least she had men interested in her, but she didn't share it enough. Sounds like a disturbed woman to me.

My mother would certainly agree with you on that! (a disturbed woman) My aunt refused to discuss their childhood or anything in her past. I suspect she read the classifieds for the job. More about her accusation in the next chapter.

Wow...shocking news about Bobby. Your aunt Dee has had a rollercoaster life for sure. Losing a child to murder would be the lowest.

My aunt had a tendency to over react sometimes.

You certainly captured my full attention with that last line. Was it murder-murder, or emotional murder. How terrible to not tell the family of his death until after the memorial. What a cruel person she must have been. Clearly never thinking of anyone but herself. I anxiously look forward to the next chapter.

Sasha, you're the first to mention the time lapse which is crucial in this case. Thanks for the insightful review.

Hi,

Well that is a riveting chapter.

Dee sounds like she has/had Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Whatever happened to the baby Bobbie sired when he was 14?

'Bev murdered him.' OMG! Typical Narcissist conclusion!

Your family stories are indeed a saga!

Best wishes, Alison

NPD, Never thought of that. Will do research on it. No idea what happened to the child. Thanks for the great review.

My jaw is on the table. This is full of juicy stuff. Your aunt being called manatee has me laughing, never heard of anyone being called manatee for having excess pounds. Your aunt is quite the character, I am always fascinated by people who behave like teenagers later in life. Excellent writing.

Thanks, mermaids, for giving me a six. Hard to find on a Saturday. Wish I knew more about my aunt's early life. My mother felt she must have done some wild things since she refused to talk about her past.

Whoa! That last sentence real bowled me over. Your writing draws me in every time. Thank you for sharing your memories and as always I will be following this continuing saga of your life. To say it's quite interesting is saying the least because your Aunt has proved to be really something else.

To my mother's dismay, I found her exciting. She was a great story-teller for one thing. And she did have great stories.

Not sure, but I don't really think you need that bit about your aunt about to get her heart broken. I know won't appear in the book, but as a part of your synopsis it seems to me that takes something away from the reader. Just an observation...

Oh my!!! Your aunt sounds a bit wicked, very controlling to say the least. Now, this murder bit. Sounds like things are gonna get heated and interesting. Ya' this story seems like something people would talk about at the ole gossip fence. Staying tuned...

I took your advice and deleted it. You're right. I don't need it.
I suspect her friends never saw her vicious side.

Hi, Shari.
You've really shown so well your aunt's free spirit and individuality. It's sad that she ended ties with her daughter over religious differences. She herself has gone through hardship, losing a child. This would be the most devastating loss for any parent to suffer. Your last line is a zinger! You really have a gift for bringing the reader into your stories.
Bye
Rosalyne :)

Thanks so much, Rosalyne, for your insightful review. Later on, her daughter officially disowned her.

    Hi, Shari.
Family can drive us crazy, but to disown a member one of the hardest separations.
I'm so sorry that this happened.
    Bye, my friend!

Hi Shari,

I am totally fascinated that your aunt worked in the Jerry Lewis household. She had a less than pristine personality, but was quite a free spirit.

Hugs,
Lou

Thanks, Lou. Later on, she learned the art of doing and reading astrology charts. Some of her clients were movie stars.
