This is very well written and so true in many aspects. I too wonder where man is going and what he thinks is the end. Many just believe we are born, live so many years and then die that is all. I know from God's word that there is an after life and I am prepared for the day when He calls me home. I am not perfect, far from it, but I do know Jesus and His blood shed on Calvary has made me a child of God. Blessings Patricia

If more people held these convictions dearly then perhaps we wouldn't be in so bad a shape. many thanks for your thoughts and comments. It is very much appreciated.

giraffmang: I talk to God frequently and have asked Him the same questions. Everything seems so out of control. Of course, being a teen in the 1960's, everything was changing and that seemed so out of control, also, but we all survived. Congratulations on your contest win. You have written about what is on everyone's mind. livelylinda

Excellent story. Seen no mistakes. Writing was emotional.

Goodness, you have been busy -- two postings in one day. Despite being an agnostic, I thought this was good; the adaptation of the Louis Armstrong song was very clever.

I am not overly religious myself but I have been toying with this song for a while and this seemed to fit. In a real conversation with God, I am not sure I would be so polite, to be honest. Many thanks for the review.
This one I posted a couple of days ago and was a joint winner for a prompt. 'Fluffy Bunnies' I entered into the competition a while back but promoted now as the competition is drawing to the voting stage.
As always, much appreciated

Aha! Clever move. I must remember that.

What an interesting and thought provoking letter to God. I love the way you reworked the song to surface the decadent world of today! Congratulations for winning the contest. You deserve it.
Just a comment:
"Man is subverting the word of God for his own means and agenda"
As the addressee is God himself perhaps you may want to change to "Man is subverting your Word for ..."

That is an interesting point. That line refers to all religions rather than just Christianity. The Catholic Bible is different form the Protestant one, so is the Jewish book which mirrors old testament but not new. I could have said falst faiths but that is too extreme.
Many thanks for the review. It is much appreciated.

An excellent letter/commentary on the world's situation, and congratulations on winning first place in the contest! I truly enjoyed reading this and thought your use of the famous song was inspired and genuinely creative. Well done!

Good Morning Viet Nam, Satchmo singing "Wonderful World" as the napalm falls. "Love the smell of Napalm in the Morning"
says Col Kilgore (Duvall) in Apocalypse Now. Your excellent
post seems to nail the prompt as well as stirring memories.

Is it the end? Maybe? But the world is still wonderful. There are still people who, in one way or another, can be a blessing to us. The destruction of the world is inevitable, but we can change our mindset. We can focus on the beautiful things around us than the ugly ones. And we can help, even if in our own smallest way. Smile. c", mae

I like the way you took the lyrics from the song' It's a Wonderful World' and incorporated the sentiment into a personal and intimate letter between you and God. I loved the art also... you are a multi talented person. I thought your entry was different and very good.
