The drawing and the poem are perfect together. A newborn baby is the most precious gift and they need to be protected and the drawing shows that protectiveness that a lot of parents have or at least some. Great read.

This 5-7-5 captures that terrific moment when a brand new life chimes into the world with mighty lungs. The last line says it all as we realize that all clocks are reset to run on a baby's pace. I really like your expression here, Gretchen. Bill
