These thoughts were uppermost in my mind this Easter as I reflected on the crucifixion. Both Father and Son suffered beyond what we humans can imagine - but your moving and well-crafted poem gives spiritual insight. It is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for this beautiful meditation in your swap quatrain, Debi! I agree - God the Father suffered. I have thought how much suffering the Father and the Spirit went through when Jesus came to Earth as a human because that pulled Him away from the perfect harmony of the Trinity. But even more heart-wrenching to see His Son suffer to take on the sins of mankind. Well done!

-Thanks for sharing the notes, Debi.
-You wrote a very good poem with
effective imagery, rhyme, and swapped lines.
-I like how you personalize this experience
like a father to a son, and how they felt.
-You capture the thoughts of the father ink
verse one, follow with the son, each one
probably feeling similar things but for
different reasons.
-A very good concluding verse.
-Well done; I'm glad you shared it.

None of us have made the sacrifice the Father made with his son at the crucifixion. We as parents like you wrote made other sacrifices to a much lesser degree which hurt.
Thank you for reposting your poem at Easter.
You and your family, enjoy Easter Sunday tomorrow.

This is one of the very best of these I have read. You get a whole new meaning out of the line each time. Just beautifully done. Wasn't there a contest or something for these. There should have been. Just wonderful and a treat to read. So very well done. mikey

What a nice compliment, Mikey. I am happy you liked it. If there was a contest, I didn't see it. I chose to write in this form because it looked interesting. I hadn't seen it until I read a few that adewpearl wrote in this form. I appreciate encouragement. Thank you. Debi

w.j., this one is well rhymed in the a-a-b-b and so forth scheme with interesting meter. The approach is creative and not clichéd in the over 2,000 year old story. Well done. :0 GracieAnn

This is a very beautiful swap quatrain - the words are very well versed. It blends together beautifully - not at all forced or contrived. Lovely picture. Good luck in the contest. Kind Regards Dorothy x
