Good use of the aabb rhyme scheme. Good end rhyming. Good alliteration with forth/from...many/mercies...dark/despair...seething/sea...grand/great. Good start. Good ending. Good job.

This is another poem that I have reviewed about the author's great love for our Supreme Maker. I like best the fourth stanza as follows;"He soothes my faint and troubled heart and lets me know that I am part of His most grand and great design, and His pure love is surely mine". thanks for sharing this, God bless.

Beautiful spiritual piece. I always love it when great talent is brought to bear in a work of praise. So often pieces are offered without language or poetry. That is fine for the sentiment, but this is truly uplifting and more of a celebration. Some wonderful original imagery. mikey

Debi,
I found this stanza the one that struck me personally, so many times.
Then I'll have faith when raging storms
And dark despair around me forms
The One who calms the seething sea
Still reaches out to comfort me
Nicely done all around ... John

I love you beautiful poem of Faith.
I wonder if mankind will ever understand
the strength of God's love for us.
Your rhyming is flawless and your message
is beautiful and much needed.

Hi Nanctjam,
I am so pleased that you liked this poem. I agree that mankind doesn't have a true understanding of how much He cares. Thank you for the encouraging analysis and kind comments. I appreciate it

What an awesome visual representation to match the feelings expressed in the poem. Nice turn in the third stanza with raging storms and seething sea. It's so easy to lose faith when things aren't going your way.
I am part
Of His most grand and great design -- that's the thought that keeps me going when it gets rough.

It reads like a Victorian hymn. Maybe that's the effect you were aiming for. Personally, I find "wondrous blessings that abound", &c., to be outworn language. Sorry.
